... It’s not an early start the next morning. A few folks drift out of bed and hit the pool, a number feeling quite sorry for themselves. We eventually manage to rouse Martin and head out for some breakfast, then we spend the rest of the afternoon in the apartment – snoozing, in the pool etc. It’s not a productive day! We catch up with the rest of the folks late afternoon and spend some time at the apartment, then head out for the ...

... as "The Captain". We followed him a short way to a beautiful bay of turquoise sea water where a number of colourful wooden boats were anchored a short distance from shore and he pointed for us to wait whilst he fetched his boat. He turned out to have aa pleasant glass bottomed boat and we were soon on our way to the island. As we approached the tree covered island about 20 or so monkeys emerged from a covered bar area and started approaching the edge of the ...

      NEVER DIY your bus journey

A travel blog entry by jen_and_gem on Mar 09, 2011

Literally had to drag ourselves out of bed this morning as we wanted to go Ko Samet Island for a day of sunbathing on a remote island. We had to check out today as we had our bus to Phuket this evening so we left our big bags in reception. Managed to get ourselves up and out for about 11ish, and got a taxi to the bay, we were told it would take about an hour to get to this particular bay and when our taxi stopped after about 15 mins, we knew we weren't at the right place! ...
