We’ve also got quite a bit of our trip still left to plan and book, which we intend to do while we’re here with a little downtime.

... recharging the batteries. The facilities made us feel like royalty especially compared to the basic accomodation we'd had on a lot of the trip so far. We headed out into Pattaya for one evening but it was very seedy with go-go bar after go-go bar lining the main Walking Street drag. This area had more Thai lady boys than we have had hot dinners. It was funny and interesting to see but for no more than one evening. The "ladies" were especially ...

... flip-flops!) and badly bruised my elbow. Ibuprofen and a cream not dissimilar to vaseline but with a more tropical smell, that I was recommended by one of the Thai people (I can't remember the name for it - Zantan??) have helped to reduce the swelling and pain although I still dont't have complete mobility of my right arm, something which the Kids at daycare don't seem to understand!
