... got out of the airport, we decided to rely on the GPS (christened Barb) to get us to Branford, on the coast of Long Island Sound. Apparently Barb thought it was better to completely skirt New York via the west, north and then east instead of getting on the I95 which would have been more direct but maybe slower (? through southern parts of New York).
