... which was very much like a school science lesson but with hands on examples of sound waves and circuits. In the basement was a section on saving the earth from humans. Which clearly is a big problem in china. The history museum took you from the start of the earth up to present day with the handing over of Hong Kong to the Chinese in 1997. ... clear at all. Saw the wax dolls like Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie, queen Elizabeth, princess Diana ... In about the 3rd event in Madame Tussaud there was a thing called "scream" ... This is not for the faint hearted! They also had an area for the kiddies with characters such as Hello Kitty, Spider-Man and Hulk! Fabulous restaurants up at the peak. Day 36 - In an attempt to relax a bit we go to Nan Lian gardens and Chi Lin nunnery. We want to find a bit of nature and calmness in a bustling city. We also travel on the local trams which are brilliant and only 20p a ride to anywhere! I love them. They look very old, if not original, I think they have been running since the early 1900's.

... baskets soon arrived and we tucked in. We both thought that the food really wasn't as spectacular as anyone had made out, and much preferred yum cha lunch at Golden boat or Cafe China back home. [M] It has been beyond an age since we've posted...but it's been a really, REALLY busy few months...granted, that's no excuse for not taking (and sharing) pictures...

Those excuses out of the way, I'm pleased as punch to report that Peter's Mum and her best friend are in town for a we're showing off some of the best that Hong Kong has to offer...

For starters, a "walk" to Mui Wo...capped by a delicious repast at Bahce, our favorite Turkish spot.
