... He did not know he had an appointment! We dressed and headed to the Hospital- about 12 miles away-and we arrived, checked in and John’s ankle was x-rayed and then into see the doctor where they removed his cast, tool out all the stitches and gave him a lighter cast but still up to the knee. They want him back in 4 weeks to remove cast but he does not have any way to get there- Taxi is $38 one way!! We tried to get them to extend it 2 weeks so I would be ...

We took off on a hike this morning on the Overton Trail, here in the park. Lynn checked out the map and found what she liked, a hike of about three miles. We walked from the coach to the trailhead of the Clay Mine trail. It merges with the Overton at about a mile from our site. The rental horses use a good part of the trail and thus the surface is deep, nasty dust. That's a good reason to wear boots. We did.

Sunday through Monday was the arrival process in reverse: trips to the airport, dropping off tuxes (after locating shoes, trousers, shirts, etc., somehow scattered at locations throughout Scottsdale) and, finally, relaxing a little.
