Niagara's furious falls
Getting to the niagara falls was practically an all dayer, as would be coming back, but it was still the best way I could find. Early start at 7 to get up and packed, walk to baltimore penn station, catch a train to the airport, fly to buffalo, walk to another station, get another train over to the canadian side, through customs, walk to the hotel …
Niagara Falls (Chicago)
We started the morning eating breakfast with Missy at Daves---pancakes almost as good as my moms. Then we were off to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls where we stayed at the Sheraton. Thanks to my Starwood card, we paid an excellent rate AND were upgraded twice to a falls view room with a fireplace. Nice…

Bus Trip To Canada
We had a great time on this trip, but it did not compare to having the Bundts visit. We saw lots on the Canadial side. Here are some pictures for you to share with us.
Can't stay still!!!
Sorry all, we have been slack with our entries!!! Well after 4 weeks in Boston (which we both loved) we decided to leave a day early. We hired a car on Thursday and headed to Plymouth, where we saw Plymouth rock (where the Pilgrims first arrived in America) and went on the Mayflower2. We then drove on to Hartford Conneticut. The next day we left …

Historical Traveler Reviews Sheraton on the Falls Niagara Falls
4th of July weekend
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for the 4th of July. Overall, our experience was good. Great thing about this hotel was the location: right on Falls Ave, close to the falls & nightlife. We had dinner at the Penthouse restaurant and saw the fireworks from there, a really nice view. The staff was very friendly. However, I had 2 issues: small room & horrendous elevators. We had booked a cityview room at $133US - a really small room with a full bed, small window and a stand up shower. It was right next to the elevator so the walls would rumble every 5 sec. We asked to be moved to another room and we received a nicer & bigger room on the 17th floor. Now we come to the issue of the elevators: they were by far the worst I've ever seen in a hotel. There were too few, no A/C, and it took us 20 min to get to the lobby everytime. We'd hop in at the 17th floor, stop at every floor, get to the 2nd floor and then go all the way back up to the 22nd floor with 25 people already in it! Many just got off to take the stairs to the lobby. You probably won't face this problem if you come during off-peak season.
Honeymoon Capital Hotel story!
My husband and I were up for our Anniversary on the Memorial Day weekend. We chose the Sheraton on the Falls b/c of its great location. We had such a great time. I had to let everyone know about this Sheraton Service Promise offer the hotel has. If you are not satisfied they 'promise' to make it up to you right on the spot...and trust me they do! For such a large hotel and action packed area of Niagara Falls I didn't expect the service to be that great. I was surprised how much personal attention they gave us. It was an Anniversary I will never forget...in the Honeymoon Capital.
Great Niagara Falls view, lots to do!
My family and I stayed at the Sheraton on the Falls this winter. What a great hidden treasure and place to visit in the winter. We had a clean, spacious room with a fabulous view of Niagara Falls. Its located right next to a Casino with lots of theme restaurants and attractions for our kids to keep busy while we spent lots of money gambling! The staff was friendly and the food was great too. I would definitely recommend it for a weekend getaway of fun.
No satisfaction after complaint
My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton On the Falls in January '03 for 3 night and it was lovely. The service was terrific and we enjoyed a beautiful view and very personable maid service. We returned in April for 4 nights and were very happy to be given a room on the same floor.
Brilliant
The Hotel was lovely, we stayed here for 3 nights from 31st March. Our room was upgraded free of charge and the staff could not do enough to help you. The penthouse restaurant is wonderful. The Hotel is located in an excellent position for Falls Avenue and the Casino. Do walk up the hill and try some of the other resturants like Mama Mia's.
Lovely
We arrived in Niagara and decided to stay at another Sheraton as we are always pretty happy with them - The Hotel upgraded us free of charge and gave us a wonderful room with a fireplace and a great view of the falls, the restaurant looks over the falls and the food is excellent - be prepared to eat well and lots of it at the buffet (or a la carte) it's in a good spot near casinos and the falls. Staff were lovely and very friendly.
Complaint Issues Resolved
On Nov. 6, 2002 I submitted the review "the stay that never happened!!!!!". This is a follow up to that information.
The Sheraton on the Falls Assistant General Manager has been in touch regarding our "lost room" and the problems we encountered on our arrival.
He did, to our satisfaction, make arrangements to open a Starwood Preferred Guest Account with Sheraton and Fourpoints by Sheraton Hotels. He then issued credit to that account of free bonus points that will grant us, at our convenience, a free stay at one of their hotels at a location and date we choose.
Nice View!!!
I stayed at the Sheraton on the Falls, I thought it was a great hotel with an awesome view.
We were there for a wedding, and the reception was the hotel. It was a very nice night, and the veiw from the banquet room was unbelievable. Breakfast at the Pent house was very nice also.
Everyone who gave bad ratings must be penny pinchers. Who cares if you have to pay to park? Your on vacation for crying out loud.
When you are out of the US you must be prepared for currency differences.
I enjoyed my stay, and would gladly return.
Hidden hotel charges
We booked a trip via AAA vacation book to the sheraton on the falls in may the price was 200 us. when thay were done with us the bill was 383 and we did not add any extra charges the hotel said it is AAA's fault AAA says it's the hotel's fault i say stay somplace else P.S. i am still fighting the bill and i saw a show on msnbc today 10/08/02 from reporter Greenberg saying there are class action law suits in the works for just such rip offs
Mediocore
Stayed July 2002, hotel was very nice, however, you pay to park, whether its valet or self park (be prepared to add $8 - $18 CAD per day to your bill) air conditioning was very cold, we turned off air and room never went above 68 degrees. Was looking forward to dining in the award winning restaurant, wish we went elsewhere, buffet was mediocore, Salmon was dry, prime rib was dry and unflavorful, only seen our waitress once (when she brought us our bill for $137 CAD), had 10 plates stacked upon each other, she removed them when she brought the bill. We'd stay there again, because of the convience, but we would not eat at the restaurant!
