Our trip to Noosa ( about 1000 km) north of Sydney involves, a ferry, a train, a plane and a drive ( on the left hand side) the ferry is a little rocky but a quick 20 minutes, we sit outside again and enjoy the sun and the view from Sydney harbour. The train and plane are old hat by now, it's the car ride that's a bit of a challenge.

After a long night of travel, we have landed safely into Australia! Today was all about getting acclimated to the 18 hour time change. We landed and were greeted with giant smiles and hugs from Tracey Pearce (my long time friend and organizer of the trip) and her fiancé Tom...she's got an infectious laugh and it was great to see her face to …

We tried to book into a caravan park for the night of the 10th August, in Caloundra. All booked up! Luckily there had been a one night cancellation at Dicky Beach, so we stayed there.$48 a night, no weekly rates. Very nice position on the beach and great amenities. Next day we set off for Free Spirit Caravans . The Tardis is in having a few minor repairs , a new table and a ...

... Of course, when I arrived there was only the top bunk free (standard) but actually it wasn't a bad room. I met my roommates, a German girl and three Canadians. The German girl, Maren, was really nice and friendly and we went out for dinner together. Noosa is really good for bars and restaurants and it really makes you want to spend money! We went to this place called Gaston and drank real wine out of real glasses. Quite a novelty. Had a bit of an ...
