A beautiful hotel with all the mod cons and service you can expect from a Hilton. Large gardens and awesome water sports activities in the crystal clear lagoon. Nicely appointed rooms with huge bathrooms.

... by e mail later they refunded us the full cost of the late checkout. Full marks for customer service, and bonus points for not making us fight for it!
And full marks for the flight too. We paid an extra $10 or so each to get a “premium seat” which meant we had leg room TO SPARE and were in two seats together. People who had paid significantly more for the equivalent of Premium Economy might have been guaranteed a set of three seats to ...
The third and final day of competition did not begin well. It had been announced last night that all officials were to be at the track at 8am. So I dutifully had the alarm on for 6-30 and reluctantly dragged myself down to catch the 7-30 bus. There were only four of us on it! Most of the others waited for the 8am one and then we also discovered that the first jumps event was not on until 11am. Fletcher had waited for the second bus ...
... rather a pleasant sense of fullness and well-being. How fortunate we are.
We will spend the afternoon and evening at the Radisson in Papeete (maybe one more swim?) and then to the airport for an 11:50 flight to LAX.
