This morning we flew 2 hours north to the famed Iguazu Falls which is on the boarder of Argentina and Brazil. The falls separate the two countries. There is nothing else here but the falls, but they speak bucket loads and more. They are beautiful and not to be missed if coming to South America. We stayed at the Sheraton which is the only hotel actually inside the national park and very 5 star (which is a lovely change). After a long wait at the airport yesterday (our flight time was changed to 2 hrs later while we were on the ship and out of touch), we arrived at the Sheraton Iguazu Hotel, inside the Parque Nacional Iguazu. We were on the same flight from Salta to Puerto Iguazu as the French family that we had met horseback riding in Salta, and in fact were seated across from them. Upon arrival at Iguazu airport, however, they went into Puerto Iguazu (about a 30 minute drive from the Falls) to find a hotel, while we went straight to the Sheraton, which is the only hotel within the parque nacional on the Argentine side. We flew into Puerto Iguassu, after an overnight stop in Buenos Aires, with great excitement and wondering whether the Iguassu Falls would live up to our expectations.
