This trip was a little sneaky - we were going to lose one of our timeshare weeks if we did not book it - we really had not planned on going on a vacation after going to Hawaii twice over the winter (the last one about a month ago) BUT we think to ourselves, "how warm could it get in Alaska, will we really get to lay on a beach with Allison and just …

Dolphin Day

... Dave really enjoyed watching to and little little even came along for some moral support. After my dolphin day, Dave and I wandered around the small town for an hour or so searching for a Mexican flag to join the other flags on our front room wall. Finally we found one! All the touristy shops there and no one had a flag it seemed. Dave also got a football shirt and I got a fisherman smock thing. I learned that I am quite a good ...

Day 4 in paradise!

... The first night I spent just soaking in the scenery. We are located in between The Cabos, so the first night we decided to be adventurous and take the bus towards Cabo San Lucas. Let me tell you, chivalry is not dead in Mexico! The bus was packed, but as soon as we got on three men stood so that Lisa, Kelly and I could have a seat! I was flattered and very thankful since I was pretty tired. We ate a great dinner at a nice seafood place called Villa Serena. I think I ...

Mo, the breakfast lady was the highlight of our stay at the Nob Hill Inn. She was always cheerful and ready for a bit of banter. When we ordered our bagel with cream cheese, cereal, yoghurt and apple juice her comeback would be: ‘…and I suppose you want all this today??’ Then she would scuttle of and within 2 minutes, our breakfast would be in front of us. Come to think of it, this may not have been banter. She may have been ...

If you have money to burn, stay here

    from puravida777

Just got back from Cabo. Hacienda Del Mar was one of the most beautiful resort I've ever stayed in. The grounds, view, and pools were all fabulous. However, I will never go back there. For the amount of money we paid, the service was not what we expected. First, they do not have a free shuttle service to and from town. You have to pay $20.00 US each way for a cab, which adds up very quickly. Then they charge $10.00 for 8 oz glass of margritas. Basically all the food and drinks were highly over priced. Also execption of the few friendly staff, most of them were rude. I needed to tip one of the staff, so I asked one of the bartender if he had any change for $10.00. He flat out said he didn't have any. How could a bartender not have any change for $10.00? Then when we went to check out, not only it took over 45 min, they added on bunch of other charges that we didn't use so it took even longer. Also do not use their laundry service, for 15 pcs (all t-shirs, shorts, underware) they charged $170.00. Like I mentioned, the place is beautiful, and if you have money to burn, I highly recommended. However, you can find so much better places to stay and eat in town.

    Nice Place!!

    from MadDog01

We just got back from 5 nights at the Sheraton. The hotel grounds were beautiful as was the beach. Only complaints were that the food and drinks were priced to high for what you got and the rooms were noisy. The cleaning and landscaping staffs were out and about at 7am. We did manage to dodge the timeshare people the whole trip :p. Nice place but I probably wouldn't stay there again. I get better service in Hawaii for the same price.

    Fabulous facility

    from anonymous

I just returned from this facility on a site inspection for a small group meeting for January 2004. I reviewed four properties and this was clearly the best. I would go here if I were going to Cabo for a vacation. And, yes get the ocean view rooms.

    Nice

    from anonymous

The hotel itself was very nice by any standards. I can't tell you how impressed I was with the hotel property. The perfect location on a private beach. I have 2 complaints. The walls were very thin. You could hear everything your neighbor was doing. The food was expensive at the resort. Example: $17 for a hamburger.

    Beautiful resort

    from anonymous

It is a beautiful and safe resort and friendly staff. I like the breakfast buffet ($21 for adult and $5 for a 2 year old), maybe a little bit expensive but it is worth it with its incrediably ocean view. Great swimming pools. We will definitely stay in Sheraton next time in Cabos.

    Beautiful location, too pricey

    from anonymous

The resort is incredible. Swimming is quite dangerous here, but the pools more than make up for the lack of ocean swim time. Our room was perfect - we only paid for a garden view room, but it was situated on a corner, so part of our balcony overlooked the ocean. The shuttle is nice to have, it saves a little money - $10 round trip per person to Cabo San Lucas, but if you are planning on staying in town past 9:30, you lose the second half of the round trip you paid for. And you will have to take a cab back. In three days, we spent $80 on transportation to and from town, and an additional $54 on transportation to and from the airport. I would suggest renting a car - it will save you a lot of hassle and will be worth it. Also, the breakfast menu is very expensive - $13 for a continental breakfast (and the quality wasn't great)

But, if money is not a worry for you, this place is fantastic. We had a great time.

    Wow

I own a couple of timeshares. Hacienda del Mar is far and above an awesome place. It's the pinnacle of opulance! The grounds are amazing, the facilites plentiful, and the staff, all I can say is...hand and foot. They are they to see to it your stay is the very best it can be. Treat yourself and check it out!

Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar Hotel and Time Share

    from anonymous

Being a time share owner at this resort, I can say I´ve had the best time, even coming from San Diego, where the beach is great. The location of the resort is perfect for a getaway (like in an island) but not too far so you can have the party time of your life at Cabo San Lucas. Taxi is a bit expensive, but it´s definetly worth it. Also the resort is beautifull, great swiming pools, and great beach to swim, but not on hurricane season, it gets a little too wild.

We just returned from Cabo. Had a great time at this property. Very nice rooms and the staff was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here. The only downfall is location. It's a $20 taxi ride to Cabo 1 way.

    Nice place

    from anonymous

Very nice resort- I would spend the extra bucks to get an oceanfront, not oceanview, room. We upgraded upon arrival from oceanview to oceanfront for $50 USD per day. Food and drinks are good but extremely expensive, even for the basics ($13.00 hamburgers at pool, $7.00 drinks, etc.) There is no swimming in the ocean at this resort due to strong currents and large waves.
