      ... and headed to the transit desk for our overnight layover. We were shuttled off into downtown Doha, which reminded me a bit of the illuminated parade at Disney World...       This is now my 5th trip to Doha and still i hadnt walked along the corniche. Thats the plan for today! Really glad i didnt go mental with drink yesterday because this would probably of not happened if i was hungover. Im not sure on the distance it was but Lorraine thinks its 7 miles in total.       ... felt like I'd crossed some line between the developed world and the developing world. The room itself was like any other decent hotel in the world, but to me, it felt like heaven. I probably stood there for a full minute appreciating amenities like a nice fluffy bed, a tv, warm water, carpeted floors and a bath tub. I then went to the buffet line and stuffed myself silly.       ... weird that we were asked to leave our bags unlocked too in case they want to check through them downstairs. We weren't overly pleased with that especially as it was for the entire trip home. I did end up putting the combination locks on but not actually locking them. I was concerned that the zips would open up in transit if I didn't.
