Diving at Gabr el Bint, The Canyon & The Blue Hole
... From here we looked up into The Fishbowl: a beautiful cavern filled with loads of small fish and corals with sunlight streaming down through them. In the past this was the exit from The Canyon and must have been stunning. However, the diver traffic through this small opening has caused too much damage and deterioration to the site and it is therefore no longer used. Hopefully this will allow the marine ...
Africa; but not Africa
... I decide to go snorkelling and take a taxi to the Blue Hole where there are a lot of other tourists swimming around looking at the reefs and the various fish. What a shocker of a day
... dinner at 10pm. After dinner we collected our room keys and headed off to prepare for bed which I finally fell into at 12:15am - a full 24 hours since I struggled out the day before!
What an epic day it was: climbed a mountain in Egypt, drove to the Red Sea, boarded a ferry to Jordan, passed through border controls of both countries, drove a good distance from the sea to Petra in Jordan - a BIG day, but was it fun or what... bring it ...
