... Roger kitty. Most of us know it's not the greatest joy to scoop a litter box but we do it because we love our cats. Poor things had to deal with runny poop on the bed! We are really concerned about him and discussed turning around but there's nothing we can do more than the Germans already are. We are hoping it's just a parasite or something similar and not anything more serious.

Finally we cross the state line and enter California. We stop off to visit Lake Tahoe. Its ever so nice. Pristine emerald and blue water surrounded by pine trees. What a beautiful place.
These mountain roads are something else, with scenery that is just breathtaking. We dont get into Redding till after 7pm, and find this really nice RV park off the highway and out of town. Doesnt take long to set up the tent, while Gerry is already set up with her camper van.

The temperature had dropped some but it ...

I see my 1st rattlesnake shortly after leaving...it never hissed at me, I got about a foot away and it acted like I wasn't there.
About 2 miles from where I stop for the night I had my first encounter with Coppertone. A trail angel that goes up and down the trail, following the PCT hiker groups, handing out Pie, Root Beer Floats, banana's, doughnuts...the ...

... franks in a frying pan. 98 degrees and the Walmart does not allow overnight parking (seriously?) so we kept driving. The roads began to climb into some deciduous trees that were already beginning to drop their crispy brown leaves. People trying to get home from the office were driving the curvy roads like they were qualifying for a Nascar cup but, the road did have guardrails. Yay! I got Bud to stop to pick up a beautiful cone I saw on the ...
