Enormous thunder storm overnight, don't think I have ever heard rain like it! Beautiful morning though. Breakfast in the hotel was lovely, fruit, yoghurt, coffee and stunning dim sum. See pics for details of our day. Off to Tek Sen for dinner tonight, if we can get in. It is a long weekend in Malaysia this weekend and there are a lot of holidaying Malaysians so lots of people everywhere. It is Muslim New Year (Raya) on Tuesday so lots of ...

We went to a cool restaurant which was covered in writing from all it's customers from around the world. The owner was great and gave us loads of tips for Thailand. The city looked like a cool place and I can't wait to explore tomorrow. I'll let you know how it ...

We spent most of the afternoon admiring these paintings, as ...

We seriously needed to do some washing as after our last hotel all our clothes smelt vile. We spent the morning washing and wringing after checking out the roof of the hotel and realising we could go up there and dry them. We watched a film (silver linings) at lunchtime as its one of my favourites and was on the movie channel. Then we took our clothes up to the roof to dry we managed 30 mins in the boiling hot sunshine ...

... nervous for the return leg in the dark.

The beach in BF was pretty dire, very much like Durban beach, tons of people, jetskis, 4 X 4's, horse riding etc. Am glad we decided to stay in G'town and not near the beach. We scurried off to the markets and bought a couple football shirts for peanuts and ate some good spring rolls from the famous spring roll lady and Jacqui had a vegetable noodle hot plate, I had a erm... Oh, chicken with cashews again.
