We made our way via ferry from the mainland over to Cozumel (about 30 minutes) found a hotel and hit the town for some window shopping and drinks. We happened to arrive on the day they were having an “Ironman” race on the island (their first). This is were they first swim 2 1/2 miles, bike 112 miles and then do a marathon of 26.2 miles! The winner made it in just over 8 ...
Cozmuel, Quintana Roo, Mexico goodrichodysseyWe made it to Mexico after 30 hours of travel. We had a great feast of mexican last night while listening to a mariachi band play and the flambe waiters make all sorts of desserts, coffees and lobster. It felt great to sit in the humid heat and be on vacation.
My pina coloada was the length of my arm! Watched Buffalo clobber ...

Puerto Morelos, Mexico surledepLANDED IN CANCUN AND IMMEDIATELY WENT TO PLAYA DE CARMEN THINKING THERE WOULD BE LESS PEOPLE BUT I WAS WRONG. THATS A FIRST, HA HA. PLAYA DE CARMEN, Mexico trolibus... we´ve never done before at night without a guide! He yelled something at Juan then went back up. We set off again, but still not in the direction of the marina. I thought ****, we´re being kidnapped now as he won´t get paid for us not diving! I had visions of our parents getting ransom notes... Eventually he managed to find another bouy! he hung around it for a few mins, then realised we wern´t going to get in, Juan shouted up to ...
Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico knottyOur last full day here. I got up early but Chad wanted to sleep in so I came out on the balcony to update the report and upload pics from the camera. There is no Internet access so I will have to put them online when I get home. There is still tons of salt in my hair. It will probably be days after we get home before we get it all out. Today we decided to just chill at the hotel. We went down for breakfast and then off ...
Cancun, Mexico jaclynandchad... were the best. A huge site with lots to see and explore amid the jungle. Plenty of ruins have been excavated but those that haven't and are enshrouded in jungle provide greater intrigue and allow your imagination to sore. Pleasant towns, beautiful scenery, breathtaking lakes and waterfalls, caves and caverns, Mayan ruins - Campeche and Chiapas have it all. The caribbean coast of the Yucutan, or was i in America - it was hard to tell! Boy oh boy oh boy. Cancun and to a lesser ...
