... of dancing and a day of hiking meant our legs could barely function, so the surfing was quite a battle. I had a few beautiful rides, but I definately need some practice. I've become a surfing addict, I plan on making some runs to the Oregon coast this summer (but I'll have to rent a wetsuit, it's freezing!). After that, we bought some coffee, wandered the surf-shops one last time, and then hopped the train for the long ride back to the Brisbane airport and back to the reality of finals.

They planned to cross the sand bar on the next day and make their way down south - sensing (or perhaps hoping?) for a calmer sea change. ... our last big night out in the sydney. it was my friend dan's birthday and we went downtown to Kings Cross (the sketchy area of sydney...tons of strip clubs and 24-hour clubs) to a bar called The World bar and we had a whole floor to ourselves. well there were about 100 of us but it was for dans bday/a going away party for everyone. was a very fun night but a long night...always takes forever to get to and from kings cross. anyways the world bar has an interesting concept ...
