BARS: Aside from Coral Bungalows and the bars on Haad Rin beach there is a dingy but friendly bar called 'Purple Haze' at the foot of Shroom mountain. Say "Sawadee" to Sam the owner who is frequently found showering with a hose pipe in front of his bar. It epitomises laid back, relaxed, a strange (probably false) sense of security and some naughty drinks.
