This Best Western used to serve as the women's barracks for the US Navy. It's a little out of the way and sterile, but did seem to be the best alternative to the Novotel, which was $200 more per night. Awesome A/C.

After the group left we decided to hire a car during our stay at the Sea Breeze Hotel. This enabled us to revisit the Cape Range National Park to visit some of the beaches we didn't have time to get to previously. We ended up being out all day!
The rest of the time was spent doing laundry, relaxing and visiting Exmouth. It was strange having …

Unser Highlight heute war der Gesang der Buckelwale unter Wasser! Unser Guide sagte dazu "we are diving at the humpback-highway"! Ein weiteres Highlight waren zwei fast 2m lange Leopardenhaie! Wunderschön! Insgesamt zwei tolle Tauchgänge und eine sehr schöne Unterwasserwelt.

This morning there was a memorial service held in the theater. The service was for Rememberance Day; our Veterans Day. To our surprise the theater was full. Out of respect we took no pictures. At 11:00 am there was a minute of silence on the entire ship. It was quite moving. Normally we eat lunch in the Windjammer. But today we went ...

... Standing in the water and Mike spots a turtle so we have our eyes firmly peeled on the water to see if it pops up again, when I notice a big dark shadow in the water. Hmm not sure if it was a reef shark or just a big fish, so we were a little shy of the water and kept looking around. Next thing Mike spots a couple of little sting rays and then i spot a massive one heading towards us. I plucked up the courage to have another quick dip in the water before we head ...

... of the van who tells me that he wants to have a ride on our bicycles. He seems to under the influence of drugs and I tell him politely that there is no chance of that happening. We head out again but after an hour I decide I need to find an over nighter. I checked the map and decided that the Robe River overnight camp site is the solution. We pull into the dusty area and find a spot under a shady tree. The site has long drop toilets, cooking fire facility, concrete table and bench ...
