Last night was A's birthday, part of the reason for this whole trip. We partied in true Kenya style, dancing on the beach with the local community at a beach shack down the shore from the resort. I loved watching the kids move with amazing rhythm and style, and gradually winning over their trust until we were dancing together. A pumping soundtrack jumped from Kenyan hip hop to Beyoncé to Bollywood, and the dancing was just as varied! Drummers ...

This is a beach that turtles frequent to lay their eggs on, but we saw no evidence of that tonight walking back. The beach was deserted, the moon full and the sound of the ocean overlaid any other sounds.
A great way to finish the evening.

... then repeat, for 4 minutes. So rather tired after all that.

Glad to be back though, 2 reasons, 1 - the sooner we get into this the sooner I get to leave boot camp!, 2 - Because I really enjoy this. I'm finally loving it. It's much better being the oldies, knowing what is coming! :-)

Tomorrow is looking like one hell of a day, running, then brekkie, then swim of some sort, then extra session again for oldies, then kettles.

    Friday ...
