A travel blog entry by gregsbigshimmy

Emily and her husband Andrew visited during a worldwind tour of the world. It was great to catch up and hang out with the 2 after quite a few years.

Then the first day of sunshine after over a week of snowing, meant several ski trips to catch up with different mates and enjoy the huge amount of snow recently dropped and some great sunshine!

In the evening Ana and Stefan had a fab meal with Milagros in Pully - gorgeous evening out and the summer just keeps on giving.

The views from Gornergrat where spectacular. From here you can see 29 peaks with a quite a few that are over 4000m. There was no one climbing the Matterhorn as it ...

... the protected Black Vanilla Orchid - I pulled two to take back :D Anyways, this day was the most mentally challenging because for a good 3 hours, I saw nobody. Walking through tall grass made me fear snakes, walking through the woods made me think of bears or something, and it didn't help that today was 35+ degrees. I eventually got back to the hotel and I was so happy to see Peter. He looked at me with his glasses on the tip of his nose ...
