After a great nights sleep in the palace that was out hotel room we woke to a hot day. Lots of stormy looking clouds in the distance but not too bad where we were. Sam, dad and mum went for a dip in the pool at the back of our building. Water really lovely and warm and pool empty. Back to the room to shower change and pack....again! Then off to …
... these days is the utter disregard of politicians towards their constituencies. A blatant indifference sometimes to overwhelming public opinion. How they take up seemingly indefensible positions completely counter to what the American people want. And I wonder what it is that takes a candidate and then an elected official in one minute and turns him or her into a useless zombie the next? Just what is going on in these "closed-door" sessions that the general public is not ...
... further south Cambodia. Here in Florida Governor Scott is on the short end of the stick with upstream Georgia and has filed suit to force Georgia to allow more water to pass through it on the way to Florida. In countries downstream the lack of water is especially damaging as water creates energy for hydroelectric plants that provide electricity to newly built communities. But the key take away for me in “Tapped” is the ...
... their genes become targets for people like Heather Dewey-Hagborg, an "artist" who surreptitiously and legally, goes behind people and collects DNA, often shed epithelial cells left on discarded trash. She uses the DNA she collects to create face masks of what those people might have looked like had one of their donor's other single sperm made it to fertilization and birth instead. In this way she makes this theft less controversial. Whether we should ...
... and I hope people collectively will reject this. I think we need to stop attacking other nations with our military. No other countries around the world but the United States travel thousands of miles from their homeland to attack other people of the world. There is human suffering all over the world. If we could save them all peacefully we would. We can't. Joe Taxpayer does not want this either the polls are ...

Despite the noise of renovations and occasional shower, Sanibel Harbour Marriott was a relaxing getaway during the off season. Poolside service was steady and the food was delicious. The lady in the shop was extremely friendly and helpful.
Day two was spent at the spa getting a massage and facial. The spa and fitness center was fully equipped and clean. The massage hit the spot and I felt rejuvenated after the facial.
During an afternoon rain shower, I enjoyed a couple of cocktails and a salad at Charley's Bar. The server was friendly and visited the table at the right intervals.
The executive suite was spacious and comfortable. There was a minibar in the room. The only thing that could have been improved was to have Zephyrhills water in it. It was served with room service but a different brand was in the room.
All staff from the valet to the front desk to the concierge were friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here.
