    Off Season Getaway

Despite the noise of renovations and occasional shower, Sanibel Harbour Marriott was a relaxing getaway during the off season. Poolside service was steady and the food was delicious. The lady in the shop was extremely friendly and helpful.

Day two was spent at the spa getting a massage and facial. The spa and fitness center was fully equipped and clean. The massage hit the spot and I felt rejuvenated after the facial.

During an afternoon rain shower, I enjoyed a couple of cocktails and a salad at Charley's Bar. The server was friendly and visited the table at the right intervals.

The executive suite was spacious and comfortable. There was a minibar in the room. The only thing that could have been improved was to have Zephyrhills water in it. It was served with room service but a different brand was in the room.

All staff from the valet to the front desk to the concierge were friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here.

We had to decide who the killer was and why he/she would commit that crime. You have to write down all the clues you discover as you will need these at the end of the show. Everyone is provided a clue sheet. One prize is awarded per dining car to the one guest that can figure ...

The Hilton's lunch was being served in their sports bar which suited me just fine as they had several large screens with college football games on. I ordered sliders and a diet coke and watched one of the games for awhile, before returning to my room. I freshened up from the ...

... trash cans next to the toilet. We encountered this even in very nice restaurants and four star hotels, apparently the plumbing and sewer infrastructures are not equipped to handle that.

Tip for Machu Picchu: the only restroom facilities are located outside the site, and they are pay toilets as well. Same with concessions -- there will be none inside the site, so pack a bottle of water and a snack. Machu ...

... what...other than hallucinations...could account for this vision? This small miracle must have been created by the interplay of light beams and dewdrops, I concluded. And yet, after years of living here, I had never noticed this phenomenon.

I pondered: I had just traveled several thousand miles to see an amazing firefly ballet in the verdant forests of the Appalachians and yet right here in, literally, my own back yard ...

... to hold in place when practical.

Know when a hold just isn't going to work out and don't wear yourself out trying to hang onto something you'll eventually have to give up. You'll be tired an vulnerable if you do this incorrectly.

Pivot off that back foot. Use it to launch off of with punches.

Back out and away from power hand.

Make opponent punch across their body. Less leverage for them. Harder to get anything on it.
