We stayed for three nights at Turtle Beach. The splash pol area was lots of fun and great place for the parents to relax with a drink while the boys played.

We've been travelling now for 100 days. Looking back over our travels so far it seems like we've been gone for a lot longer in some respects. From losing my wallet in Hanoi on the very first day to scorching myself on the barely sunny shores of Hoi An, from our long walks in Ho Chi Minh and the dusty treks through the tiny Cu Chi Tunnels to the unexpected commercialism of Phnom Penh, and from there on to the magnificent Ankor Wat and back again, our brief return ...

... So we were onto plan B.

I called our wonderful hosts Michael and Heather - who, thankfully, were available to answer my call. Happily, they are covered by RACQ (the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland), so we called and arranged for someone to come help (no easy task when you aren't totally sure where you are -- 'somewhere along Nerang-Murwillumbah Road' is not quite adequate -- it is about 70km long). But we ...

I went on a aeroplane to Queensland. The plane went over 800km an hour. That's nearly as fast as Daddy on the freeway. We are staying at Turtle Beach Resort and it looks like it's in a big rainforest. There is a mini-golf course and a swimming pool right outside our window. The resort has 4 swimming pools and ...

... centre of the cave, forming a bridge. This area has one of the largest numbers of glow worms so we came back on dust with hope in seeing these glow worms. We drove through and up the Springbrook National Park to Purling Brook Falls. We were about 600 metres above sea level and although there was not a great deal of water running the falls and rain forests were green and lush. From here we drove onto the “Best of all Lookout”. This lookout spanned to Mount ...

In the morning we walked along the railway line just behind our campsite and collected old sleepers for fire wood.   We also found treasure in steel pegs previously used to hold old sleepers down.  They will be used as rustic coat hooks one day.   Todays drive was long however it was taken up by My Brilliant Career.  We listened to 4 hours of the story today.  We were determined to finish it before we reached the Gold Coast as we knew ...
