    ... traffic lights, here people stand in the sweltering heat (95F) holding signs with one side "slow" and the other side "stop". It took a bit longer to get to the beach, but we had enough protection with us to keep us from getting sunburnt.     Dan already took some of my favorite things with him when he departed:

    -The double sleeping hammock. This will be AWESOME when we just want a break/nap/real sleeping under the stars. I have no idea how the slap straps work.. but based on Dan's excitement about it... it doesn't seem like it will be a true brain teaser to get it up ...

    ... substituting another bike for the sale one. The manager called me
    back shortly thereafter and said he'd be happy to substitute. My neighbor, Bonnie, drove me to Kmart and I am now the proud owner of a new bike. Merry Christmas to me!!Another of my neighbors had a very nice bike rack for the back of the MH and he sold it to me for a song.
