Since this was off season, it was not too busy and we had no problem getting
into restaurants for dinner without making reservations.
The beach was disappointing for 2 reasons. One was the beach in front of the hotel was clean
and maintained but once past the resort, not so much-garbage, bottles, broken
glass littered the sand. It did not make walking the surf very enjoyable. The second reason was ...

Sooo...guess what? Helen can speak Chinese. That was so great and awesome when dealing with Sanya's lack of a metro system. They only had buses, with Chinese drivers and Chinese announcements, so having Helen tell me when and when not to get on a bus and get off said bus definitely made my life better! ...
