An early start, 6am pickup – they
said. We were collected at 6:20 and driven back to the pier.
Another boat ride through paradise. A long boat ride, so we both had
a little sleep on the way. At the other end, we were met by a guy
with an air conditioned minibus, so he assumed that he was supposed
to be collecting us, and we assumed that he was our transfer! We
drove across the island to Krabi where we eventually discovered that
the transfer didn't include t...

... and I saw several clones of Nemo, a black and yellow version they called Nemo's cousin (I haven't seen the film so I may be being stupid here), an eel type thing, an exotic multicoloured fish with a long stringy dorsal fin (like my scientific descriptions?) and plenty of colourful shoals of fish. I didn't see the sharks that tend to be in the area, but then I have dropped enough surprise sh*t for one day. When you relax into it, the lack of effort required to ...
Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand jamiemeasures... back to Railay, I will take ddefinitely go Ao Nang for a night too. When we finally got back to Railay we decided that it was time for the beach! After all, that IS what we essentially came for. Again, the beach was amazing and I actually even got to watch the sunset. Living in MB for the past 7 years, I never had a chance to watch the sunset, so it was really cool that in the mornings I could watch the sunrise and then at night could go to the other side and watch the sunset. Just ...
Railay Beach, Krabi, Thailand schipper... and pool and then ****in clubbing!!! I say it like that as it took us ages to find...following poxy bruce...and then it was a bleeding local thai peoples club!!! so we did what anyone would do...got drunk and took it over.
That means, Vodka Red Bull for all, dancing, and on stage Chippendale Cod-ollogy!!! Only a few key words needed here.....face plant Glenn, topless Orla, Home Beacon Pa, wont stop dancing Shaky!!! People started leaving in a state ...
... us through treacherous jungle for the next few days...awesome!!
We strike up conversation throughout the two-hour car ride to the first leg of our trek, with an interesting stop at a police checkpoint. Prior to our Khao Sok trek, our Phi Phi Island speedboat trip guide told us that Thai ladyboys tend to use the female form of saying "thank you," which is "Ka Kum Ka" (with extra emphasis on the last 'Ka' with the 'a' being especially elongated and exaggerated to sound like a ...
... plus I think he liked the idea of having his
own bungalow here as well, which I could understand. It was getting to a point
where I knew it was time to be on my own again, where I could freely choose
where to stay and make my day my own. The staff here at White West was very
nice, and I decided to settle on it. I knew I could just go visit the owners
of Seaflower on my own. We did indeed meet up with Christine and Adria, and
Nathaniel ...
... to get sea sick so spent the next 2 hours hiding under the shade in the boat feeling sorry for myself, whilst the boat stopped at Shark Point for some more snorkeling! The boat finally stopped near another island which was near enough to swim to so i made a break for it, feeling a desperate need to be on dry land. I could never be a pirate!!! But it was pretty and we sat in the shallows with all the fishies swimming around us!! As we were sitting we looked out to sea and spotted ...
The Phi Phi Islands, Thailand melimeli... is the viewpoint. The signs on the hikes are awful. One day we hiked into town and ended up staying there all night. We did not want to pay for a long tail back to our hostel so we just got a room in town. The town is basically mostly built up again from the Tsunami (too built up in my opinion). But there are some smashed buildings, piles of bricks and rubbish, and the beach is scattered with bits of ...
Koh Phi Phi, Thailand kytravels... in the beautiful crystal clear water. We went on little adventures most days and discovered new places, there were caves and a jungle and a lagoon and a lookout point and other beaches, it was a lovely place, A place where lots of rock climbers came as it was known as one of the top rock climbing locations. At night we went for a drink at one of the bars down by the beach, the bars were extremely chilled out with flaming torches in the ground and mats to lay on.
Krabi, Thailand katandstevie... the scale of the development here. We took a ferry from Ko Lanta to Ko Phi-Phi Don, and right at the pier we got picked up by a tout trying to sell us accomodation. All the cheap options were pretty much full, so she turned out to be quite helpful and found us a bungallow up a hill, no sea view, but hot water and AC, you can not ask for much more on Phi-Phi for 900B (18 euros) a night. We had to cross the whole main village on the way to our hut and already on the way ...
