... over the big climb and Martin shuttled to the top. He was so excited to get to take the downhill at full speed without me. He cycled on to lunch at 33.5 miles with elevation gains of 3815 ft and max speeds of 45 mph. Lunch was on the water in Playa de Mogan where we watched scuba, swimming and beach goers. We arrive in Tejada for a lunch at a quant pub. This is our first meal featuring platters of salad, olives, cheese, ...

We slept in and ate breakfast buffet on the 23rd floor restaurant. We headed down to the beach to check on where we have to meet the group tomorrow. The beach is full of vacationing families and many people taking surfing lessons. We walked up and down enjoying an outdoor lunch ...

... his face, “The anticipation,” he said is one of the best parts. The feeling right before you go and set out to make the passage, to fulfill the task now that you’ve prepared the way.

Awaiting arrival. Anticipation. Expectation. Preparing the way. Night-gazing voyagers from the East. Sounds like Advent to me.

Again I feel like I’m in the Christmas story. Last year I was on a family farm in the coastal desert ...
