The Sharrod's were up early for breakfast and headed to the shops, whilst the
Farr's had a lie in and then the boys went off after breakfast to visit the Golden
Gate Park but got waylaid and ended up in Landsend. Aileen went to do some
washing whilst Zoe went for a manicure and then they both hit the shops.
After realising the phones were down it was like a game of cat and mouse,
chasing each other around San Francisco, trying to locate each other.

... Fish & Farm that evening (all went well except for a small navigational mishap meaning the 5 minute walk lasted half an hour, but at least we worked up an appetite!).
The next day we got up early to join the queue (behind a lot of other tourists in SF for 4th July celebrations) at the end of Market Street to take a cable car ride over to Fisherman's Wharf. Luce didn't miss a shopping opportunity ...
... headed south and apart from getting lost around LAX because the sat nav (a term that is not in the American English dictionary... it’s GPS over here) was confused. We arrived in San Diego and checked into our hotel in Little Italy and then headed out to the Gas Lamp Quarter, which is allegedly the place to go when in town. It is the original part of town and was the heart of the San Diego gold boom in the 1880s. However, with the demise of the gold mines, the ...

Buy us some peanuts and Cracker Jack, We don't care if we never get back, Let us root, root, root for the home team, If they don't win it's a shame. For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out, At the old ball game." Not sure if the entire song translates into Oz-lingsh. We definitely don't think that rooting in public should be allowed (You Americans...Google it!) And you know what ...

The second voice mail was from the Purser responsible for passenger service, the one I had a previous run in with. He informed me the offer as indicated in my email was factually incorrect and went on to explain the details of the offer, he completely ignored the fact that as my email stated the information on the terms of the offer was that provided to me by their ...
San Francisco, California, United States easygeeze... rude comments about the characters which caused much laughter. Apparently in the old days it was also normal for the audience to throw rice and toast at the stage but nowadays it is sadly discouraged. The show was a hoot and the whole Halloween vibe made it even more enjoyable. Well done to Inge-Marie for organising To get a closer view of the famous Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz we arranged a sailing tour of the harbour area and luckily the rain let up long enough for us to ...
San Francisco, California, United States vine_hooligans...
San Francisco, California, United States sussiogthomas... Elvis-burger (with extra bacon) is no longer the default meal as it was in Venzuela and Puerto Rico, although I'm sure you could find one here if you wanted. San Francisco is a foody's paradise, and I've already eaten Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai and Afghani food here. The main difficulty now is that there's too much choice. Tomorrow I fly to Tokyo, and hopefully meet up with Mary there. If we miss each ...

Rick called soon to let us know that he was done with the doctor so we headed back down to the main drag to meet him. On the drive back to his work we passed by all the shacks and little leftover houseboats back in the old section of town - definitely a different feel from the pomp and flare we had just witnessed. Next we got a personal tour of the Harborside Health Club ...

Today was really fun as Tim and I actually got out of the house and walked around East Beach by the Golden Gate Bridge. It was nice to be outside and the weather was perfect! We were able to see all of the skyline! So, hopefully we'll have more news soon as we have the Matt Costa concert tomorrow and then are off to SB to celebrate Tim's birthday. Miss you all!
