Jungle Safari Day!
... on the trek with this German girl who was also on her own I think. There were 2 English boys who met at the airport Manchester and Newcastle, and a man from London, and a man from Dubai, some Aussies, loads of nice people on the trip. After the elephant trek we were whisked up to the waterfall which was nice...but when you've been to Victoria falls , other ones aren't quite the same! And the one in tsitsikamma was quite big too...Was pretty though and you could just chill there...then ...
Waking up in Paradise
... Stars Kayaking Day trip we found online a few days before. We were in luck and were able to book it for tomorrow morning. Now that we took care of that we were free to explore fisherman's village. We walked down the street from our hotel and got toa small intersection. There were 3 restaurants on each corner and the Bo Phut beach pier on the forth corner. We made a mental note to try some of these restaurants while we were on the island. For our last day we jumped in a sungtow and headed for Na Thon, where the port is, for a change of scene. The views in Na Thon were incredible and a night food market- yes thats right an entire market ALL about food- sorted dinner. It was literally one of the best pad thais i've had so far...and i've had a few.

... who had been on Phuket at the time; they told us people were panicking and the locals were really upset. Everyone was herded onto the hotel roof, where the guys had tried to liven the atmosphere by turning up the 'wog box' (yes, someone used that phrase in 2012) and cracking open some beers. Apparently 'some of them stopped crying'. Lovely guys.

... they didn’t stop there. By 2:15 they had squeezed 15 of us in the back of a pickup truck and at least three of the people looked ready to vomit. The next hour back was more fun than you’d expect as we all ended up sharing stories of our homelands and fortunately those that looked ready to vomit simply passed out cold.
