Beautiful resort, distinctively Thai. Beautiful staff always happy to please. Amazing view across The Gulf of Thailand. Quiet, private beach. Unique village feel in Mae Naem away from the tourist strip.

... we made our next stop at Chewang beach, the famous backpackers area. Here we called at Ark bar beach club where we had lunch, fruit smoothies and a chill on the beach front. ... hostel provided UV body paint for us to decorate ourselves ready for the party. It was loads of fun and a great way to meet other travellers. Charlotte was in demand for her artistic skills. We headed off with a group of Germans around midnight. It was only a short ride away as Jungle Experience was held our side of the island. The party was attended by 10,000 people literally in the middle of the jungle where a big space had been ...
