... a standard price. 200 Bath no matter the distance. There are two kind of cabs. Yellow modern ones, for some weird reason accessorized with spoilers, angel eyes, leds and so on, as well as beautiful decorated pickups with two benches in the back and no windows. We are counting down the days to when we leave and I have to be honest I am feeling very confused and very, very emotional.

One the one hand I am still angry with Mike that he put us in the position that he did on Christmas Eve. I am also very sad to leave some great friends and of course Sandy the dog.

I have given Mike at least 2 lifelines and offered to stay and on both occasions he says he must stick to his guns ...

A rollercoaster of a week

... fix the heavens opened and the poor guy continued to work in the rain; he was drenched. Whilst all this was going on Mike was chatty and excited about the next few weeks and what still needed to be completed. We did feel a little guilty knowing we were going to drop a bombshell and burst his bubble. Eventually the a/c was fixed and the fridge man asked for 2,000 THB (about £40) and Darren mentioned how good the guy was for continuing in ...
