      An exciting if wet day on the ICW

      ... I asked Christa to get the anchor down and Craig and i pretty much tore the boat apart. We started at the linkages at the helm. They were fine so we dove into the aft cabin and tore that apart till we could access the linkages on the gearbox. A weeks worth of careful packing by Craig was undone in seconds. I had craig pulling gear out while i dove into other parts of the boat rarely seen.

      ... day of bridges. The bridges along this part of the ICW are plentiful. And they just aren't timed for sailboats. And then there was the one that was having maintenance done. It simply opened at 11am even though we arrived at 9:30am. So we anchored for an hour and just hung out. So much for our 7am departure!

      Without looking at my logbook, I’d estimate that we did ten bridges a day for three days to get to Ft. Lauderdale. At least it didn’t rain ...

      ... be happier. The captain i was sailing with was actually the owner of and he gave me a bunch of free products!! I couldn't complain about receiving free fishing apparel. Anyways we got back and grilled up some mahi and boy was it delicious and fresh!!!

      ... get home and get Andrew inside before the heavens opened up again for several hours more or major rain.

      Right before the sun set, there were some amazing clouds over the ocean so we took Andrew down to see it before he went to bed. A very nice man in our building offered to take our picture (very rare that you see the 3 of us in one photo) and then we even got a few with just Andrew and me :)

      All in all, it was a very nice chill ...
