          Blue lagoon

A travel blog entry by emoff

After a choppy journey we arrived at the beautiful blue lagoon, our final destination. The resort was lovely, very similar to Octopus as it is owned by the same man ( definitely should have bargained for more than a cocktail when he took out photo!). The surrounding sea is particularly clear giving the resort it's name, it also has a vast ...

... off the boat on the way up so I did miss her. I've kept the note. It went along the lines of '...great to meet you enjoy the US, see you soon!...'. A bit hopeful. The next island up is Naviti. It is from here I'll do the mantaray snorkelling; the main thing I want to tick off the list for this side of Fiji. When we were finally allowed down, the tables were placed in a line, there were flowers and candles on the tables and we got served big plates of food. We had sausages, chicken, chips, potato skins, bread, cheese and ...

... island to one of the local schools. Once there, we taught a lesson on threats to the local marine environment. We had the kids make posters about pollution, coastal development, over fishing and mangroves and then present them to the class. It was definitely sucessful as the kids made really nice posters. It was so hot in the classroom and when the class was over, it was nice to get back outside. We took the boat back to Tovuto Base (GVI's base) and ...

          Cloudy but no rain.

A travel blog entry by cmrobson

Rained a bit last night but not now, although not sunny. After breakfast Mark went snorkelling round the bay with the neighbours Mike & Gabby before the tide went out whilst Liz relaxed! Started to rain a bit. Liz & Gabby went and made some coconut jewellery - bangles! After lunch of rice & vegetable chow mein Mark & Mike went on the golf range & hit some balls into the sea but as there are no tees they had ...
