It Feels Like Summer!
... and a picture of a palm tree. Stopped at Gainesville for a Wendy's cheeseburger and gas. Just as we exited for the Florida Turnpike the sun came out and it got really warm. Used the Jag's navigation system to find our destination. Passed all the Orlando attractions and the airport where we'll be taking our guests. Arrived just after 3 pm and got checked in. Managed to get a swim in one of the two pools here, ...

Le Cellier=the cat's pajamas
Yes, Le Cellier is arguably the best restaurant in which I have dined. Yes, their potato soup is glorious, and the pork tenderloin with maple polenta and sauteed pea tendrils was the greatest dish ever created. I dominated several of their pretzel and mulit-grain rolls, and the maple creme brulee I split with Nicole was simply incredible. If I could eat at Le Cellier every meal of my life, I would cry many, many happy tears. During the meal, the couple sitting next to us ...
Brad's Quest: Training Day 1
... members at the main theme parks are responsible for only one or two rides. At Disney Quest, cast members rotate stations every 75 minutes, so everyone says they never get bored with one station. At the end of training, we experienced the Pirates of the Caribbean simulation ride, where you shoot at other ships-very fun! After this, it was time to leave, so I headed back to good ole Chatham.
I was exhausted after training, so I lounged around ...

Historical Traveler Reviews SPM Resorts Polynesian Isles Resort Kissimmee
Perfect Family Vacation AAA+++
From the moment we arrived, all 18 of us, to the day we checked out, this was the BEST condo/suite vacation our family ever had. Our party occupied 4 - 2 bedroom suites, all overlooking the pool, which was just a 30 second walk away. The staff was friendly and always willing to please. We had 7 kids with us, 3 of them needed cribs or playpens to sleep in and the maintance guys brought them in within minutes of us walking through the door. One of the guys even help me fix our stroller, and leant me some tools. Nice guy.
Don't expct a HUGE resort with hundereds of room, this is one of those small cozy places with about 9 buildings, 8 units in each building. Perfect size for those looking for a quite get a way.
Pool was always clean. Grounds were beautiful, and green. Pool and game room was available to us, and we very well kept. Also, VERY important!! for those of you traveling with a Laptop, there is a great wirless connect available in the comfortable lobby, and that single extends out to the outside patio. You can get you email at anytime of the day, without any hassles. This was a major plus for us, who work on the road.
I could only find one place were they still had hurricane damage and that was a drain pipe on building #2, very minor.
Kareoke night was fun, and they offered free snacks and drinks to all guests.
Minutes away from the Main Disney gate and all other attractions.
All major stores like Wal-mart, Target, CVS, etc are right down the street.
Along with a wide selection of resturants and service business.
The rooms were huge, clean and fully stock with what ever we needed to cook meals in the room OR on grills located next to the pool area.
I would definatly stay here again, with my family whether is was just my wife and 3 kids or all the cousins, that made up our large party.

Great Time
Stayed at the resort for March Break 2005. Work is currently underway at the resort to repair Hurricane damage, however all the facilities are available for use. They have two pools and three hot tubs; tennis courts, shuffle board and a basketball hoop. Upgrades to the resort are underway. Units now have new furniture. Staff are extremely courteous and friendly. We had a couple of minor problems with our unit. Within 10 minutes of our call maintenance was at the door to repair the item. We stayed in a two bedroom unit. Kitchen was well equipped. TVs in both bedrooms and in the living room. Bathroom in the master bedroom is huge, includes a whirlpool tub; ample towels in both bathrooms. Unit was very clean. The entire resort is very well maintained. Resort is approximately 2.5 miles (4 Km) from Disney. Quick access to SeaWorld (8 minute drive) and Universal (15 min drive). About 25 minutes to Orlando International Airport. I have stayed at other resorts in the Orlando area, and this was the best.
Perfect week for the family
This spot is great unless you want to be living in the lap of luxury surrounded by hundreds or thousands of other guests. Polynesian Isles is just off Rt 192 and convenient to everything but secluded enough to get away from it all. It is small enough to feel safe and large enough to have everything that you need. We have stayed here 4 years and keep coming back. It would probably be a four star (not 5 star) facility...but we love it!
Sunterra okay
Not a bad place to stay. Clean and general amenities provided. Not over-the-top. I am a owner whose company was taken over by Sunterra. Would not recommend for anyone to buy with this company. Horrible customer service and can never get through. Other timeshare companies better. But okay to exchange and stay. Easy to get to and from activities.
Polynesian paradise
Just returned from Polynesian Isles resort last Saturday and cannot commend it highly enough - staff all very friendly and helpful. The resort was kept very clean and the apartment very spacious and fully equipped. The resort was never very busy although it was fully booked at this time but it helped to make our stay very enjoyable and would certainly return in the future.
I loved this place.
We stayed here May 2003. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit on the ground floor. I found this resort thru my entertainment card and paid $487.00 with tax for the whole week!!! It was beautiful. The masterbedroom has a large whirlpool tub, seperate shower, 2 bedroom has it's own bathroom. Nice size kitchen with everything you could need. The pools are very nice and the grounds are so tropical. The staff is very friendly and helpful and did not push any sales presentation.
Pleasantly Surprised!
This resort was WONDERFUL!! We usually stay at the Orange Lake Resort and Country Club and we unable to get a room for the week of our planned vacation. You are always skeptical of trying something new and not being sure of what you're going to get. We were very happy when we arrived and checked in to this resort!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic! Very clean and spacious! The screened in porch was nice. The kitchen was a little small (bumping elbows), but it had everything you could possibly need on vacation. We had a 2 bedroom. We opted for the queen bed instead of the 2 twins in the 2nd bedroom. And they provided us with a fold away crib for our little one.
The grounds were beautiful. Small and quaint resort with a very comfortable feeling. Great pools and great tennis courts! They even have racquets and balls that you can use! We had a very enjoyable time and would highly recommend this place to anyone! We will be staying here again!
Sunterra Resorts Polynesian Isles loved it
Stayed at Sunterra Resorts Polynesian Isles Nov.2,2003 till Nov. 7th.
Resort was well kept and groomed. Pools were a little small but very clean, 1 heated 1 not. 4 or 5 Hot tubs on on premises, 2 by pools and 2 0r 3 situated between the buildings. Not very crowded and plenty of parking. Rooms were big and a very nice screened in balcony. Rooms were very clean (had 2 bedroom condo) and washer/dryer in closet, all appliances worked. Very nice dining room with table fully dressed for diner. All dishes, bowls, silverware, tosater, coffeemaker etc. included in full kitchen. 5 min. from the House of Mouse (Disney). Had an ant problem, bedroom was sprayed but this Florida and you'll get a few insects. Rooms were ultra clean so no roaches or other nasties. Would recommend to anyone!!!
Terrific place, great deal
(Not the Disney resort)This place is part time-share, but also available to anyone for 1 or more nights. We got a great deal: $99/night. The grounds are lovely -- big tropical trees, shady paths, picnic tables and grills for all to use -- with 2 big pools and at least 4 hot tubs tucked away between the buildings. We had an apartment with two bedrooms and a pull-out sofa, so the 5 of us stayed very comfortably. The full kitchen was well equipped with utensils, dishes and appliances, and the 2 bathrooms were large and sparkling clean (the master bath was very luxurious, with multiple shower heads). The decor was a bit Floridaian-condo for my taste, but very nice. What a treat to arrive at your hotel to find a the table set for dinner with cloth napkins (even if they are pink)! We were invited to attend a sales pitch (a $50 gift certificate, I think for a theme park, was offered), but declined and were not overly pressured. Minutes from Busch Gardens (no shuttle transportation, but the drive was very easy), several other parks, and hundreds of restaurants and so forth. I recommend this place highly!
A Great Time at the Polynesian
We just got back from a week's stay at the resort. Everyone there was great to work with and the resort was very enjoyable.
