      Day 6

A travel blog entry by valepark2 on Feb 03, 2015

Another sunless, windy and very cool day It would be even worse were it not for the organised coach trips and entertainment put on by the hotel. The trip was again up into the mountains. This time the centre of interest was goat farming and the production of goat's cheese. A topic that has always been at the top of our "need to ...

      Day 5

Moving day, and it was another miserable one The Sun didn't appear and the wind continued to blow. The temperature was supposed to be 20C but it felt much lower. Food and drink cost a fraction of what I was spending in northern Europe. Speaking of food, I enjoyed one of the local specialties called “wrinkly potatoes” – papas arrugadas are served with mojo, a sauce made from pureed garlic, oil and vinegar, sometimes with cheese, orange, avocado, paprika ...

      Gran Tarajal, Fuerteventura

... good use. Apart from that though the beach was pretty much deserted, which was probably most unusual.

Exploring some of the streets we discovered another one of those miscellaneous stores selling all sorts of imported Oriental stuff, so once again I was able to go in and buy lots of different kumihimo cords at a bargain price. :-) Then we spotted a bar with free wi-fi, so we went in and ordered a beer each, and I was able to check ...
