Once you're up there it's more than worth it and I'm so pleased and proud to be able to say I have climbed the Great Wall. It's up there in my most amazing moments. And I know my Mum was there with me in spirit..she's everywhere, keeping me straight and keeping me ...

... soon got ourselves lost on the streets surrounding Tiananmen Square. Legs sore, tempers short it was about another hour before we found our way back to the hostel that was about 15 min away from the bus stop we got off on. It goes without saying, a few drinks were in order and because we hadn't had enough adventures that day we tried Chinese "vodka" which tastes like a combination of Saki and nail polish remover. We ditched that for beers and a shisha pipe at ...

... plus any series of letters on alphabetical order, or double letters. Once you got rid of all your tiles, you won. Fun! The temple itself was beautiful. The main temple was used to ask the gods for a fruitful harvest. There were many sacrifices involved. As I wandered through the park I stumbled upon many men flying kites. I hadn't realized what a perfect ...
