... button on the chart and trying to figure this out. But just as quickly as the depth sank, it started to rise again until we were in deep water. We thought it curious until Dana looked to port and RIGHT NEXT to the boat was a gray whale. Hang on - there were 2 whales. What a feeling! Of course, Dana wanted to go hard to starboard, away from these masses, and Adrian wanted to get closer. We fumbled for the camera but it was hard to get a shot as they were mostly just above ...
Saint Martin, Antigua and Barbuda on-oncruising... a 4 x 4 excursion to the centre of the island, which in view of the number of visitors now deposited on the island seems like a lucky choice. Off we lurched in our LR Defender through the city with our guide pointing out local points of interest, he was a proper laugh, so chilled, no problems man; up we went to Convent's Hill for a breathtaking view of English Harbour and the surrounding scenery. Eric Clapton has a place here which ...

Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda momentsintimeToday we arrived in St. John's, Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda. We debarked the ship and walked a bit until we reached what seemed to be some sort of plaza, where a local was balancing a pineapple on her head while grooving to music, hoping to make a few dollars off of us tourists. Later in the day, we took a tour of the island and saw two gorgeous beaches: Dickinson and Runaway.<br>
St. John's, Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda ashleylutt... As soon as I started digging the umbrella into the sand, the downpour began. Everybody ran for shelter under their umbrellas, under cabanas, or at the bar. We tried to stay dry under our umbrella but it was a losing battle but I didn't let this dampen my mood. It was quite a funny scene and the only thing I can think of was Rihanna's song "You can stand under my umbrella...ella...ella.", which I kept singing to myself for most of the downpour. Eventually, we and a ...
St. John's, Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda royv1... before) to get to Dominica. The airport was more or less closed, and there certainly wasn't anyone from our airline there. In fact, we saw the pilots and check in girl arrive. The pilot was dropped off by his mum. Maybe he can't drive. Check in Girl looks at us a few times, then asks where we are going to. She is suprised when we say Dominica, as that is her checking in flight. Instead of checking on the computer she doesn't have, our lady steals ...
St John's, Antigua and Barbuda chrisandtess... read a book or magazine, paint, go ashore to use the internet or beach comb or take a hike, take a nap or tweak with something. Let's face it, there's always something to tweak with on a boat, so that probably keeps us the most busy. Before we know it, it is nearly time to figure out what to cook for dinner. Whooeeee, life is tough. After I returned from my sojourn to the frozen north, we sailed over to Barbuda, about 30 ...
Jolly Harbor, Antigua and Barbuda questmiller... We sailed on to Anse de Columbier which was very crowded but we lucked into a mooring close to the beach and were able to snorkel the north shore. I was disappointed at the lack of coral but the small reef fish were plentiful. The next day we moved on to Gustavia and found a good spot to anchor just below Fort Oscar. It provided us with a relatively short, though sometimes wet, dinghy ride. We all loved Gustavia! We had cheeseburgers at Le Select the inspiration for Buffet ...
St. Martin and Saint Maarten, Saint Kitts and Nevis freespirit2006... ridiculous. We are offered just a plate of fruit salad and some cheese, and we are all very angry. The leader gets nervous and tries to calm us down and the chef from the kitchen tells us that this is what they eat in this exotic island for lunch, so we should not be demanding. I then go straight to the people of the group and tell them to deny eating this ridiculous dish ...
