Beautifully stunning views of SMA from the rooftop bar. Drinks are pricey, but the view was worth it.

When I went back inside I found the casita spotless - Lotus had made the bed, cleaned kitchen, swept floor, gathered the dirty clothes for the lavandaria, and popped out to the shop next door to get chocolate biscuits for tea. Later on I found out that this was only the case in my bus, in the other buses everyone was sleeping :D Anyways, it was fun but a bit strange to start ...

San Miguel de Allende was founded on 1531 (or so) on a site not far from the current town and moved to its present site in 1542. It is located on the Silver Route, stretching from Santa Fe down through these northern Mexico colonial cities, to Mexico City and finally to the coast and across the Atlantic to Spain. At one time 20% of the silver in the world came from mines at Guanajuato near San Miquel. There was no ore immediately around ...

We have met up with Joan from Prairie Sky who will be our traveling companion for the next few days and with Toni from Revelstoke. Both of them have been taking Spanish here for the last month.
