    Love the Comps

If you like playing "Craps" then this is the Casino you should visit.

The attendants at the Crap tables are the niciest people and the funniest. I never had so much fun. I"m pretty new at this game and they were very helpful. As far as the rooms, they could use a little upgrading, but they are clean. The slot club gives you great deals and they are one of my favorites. I had only one "Rude encounter" and that was with one of the receptionist on the phone while making a resevation, (maybe she was new) Overall this casino gives you great paybacks on their machines and on your slot card

    River Palms

In July 2003 we had the pleasure of staying at the River Palms Hotel. What an excellent place. All the staff was extremely friendly. It is service like this that will ensure we stay with them again. The comps were excellent, (make sure to swipe your card for extra points on Tuesday and free give always on Thursday). But check with the comp desk as when you are having as much fun as we did the days all seem the same. Also take in the 99-cent breakfast. What a way to start the day. The also have many food deals, from pasta to prime rib; to all you can eat chicken, ribs, etc. While playing the machines we had no problems receiving a cocktail. To be honest they were coming quicker then I could drink them!!!Take in the Comedy and Magic of Berri Lee. It's a free show and he had us laughing very hard. Even the next day relaxing by the pool, we were still laughing. The pool is also very nice. Clean, relaxing, and just the right temperature. Plus the poolside bar has great deals and extremely friendly staff. The laser light show was cool, and the band by the pool Friday, Saturday nights was also coolI guess the only negative, is we didn't leave with their money, not to say the machines were tight, as we did cash out our fare share, however we did give it back, but hey thats why the call it gambling!I highly recommend River Palms, great deals, great price and wonderful time!!! I look forward to going back and visiting my money one day soon!!!

Avoid the older 3-story wing for a better stay.

We went to meet my in-laws in Laughlin who were staying at the River Palms for a convention. To be convenient, we also booked at the River Palms. Maybe we just picked a busy weekend, because we were put in the 3-story wing 100's-300's. It was like the ghetto of the River Palms. My in-laws room was on the newer wing, 10th floor(1000's). They said some of the bathroom fans of their friends were diconnected? Our room had 2 old toothepicks on the floor from the last guests, and our bathroom was disgusting. The sink was corroded and drained extremely slow, so the water filled up fast. The sink was also loose in the counter. The River Palms Casino is so much more smokey than the other casino's..why? We were over charged for our 2 night stay, but they did correct that after I informed them. Upon check-in, it took over 20 minutes for the bell desk to bring our luggage. I guess they were just busy, or I expect to much. because they were a little rude at the desk when I went back down to check. The laser light show by the pool was very nice and entertaining. The pool was also nice and relaxing. I also enjoyed their fitness center. Their buffet was excellent. Overall, it wouldn't have been bad if the room was clean and the bathroom corrosion free. I can deal with the smoke. They are also right next to the river, and the river walk was very nice at night.

    Rude River Palms

River Palms has to have some of the rudest people handling reservations. Tried to book a room at avertized rates and was very rudely turned away. Never again will I try to stay there. Tried to let the manager know but they weren't interested.

Booked the hotel room from Alaska. Requested a non smoking, river view with king bed room. Called the River Palms, who confirmed our booking and the room requested was ready for our long travel. When we arrived at 2:30am, the person at the desk also confirmed the room and we went on our marry way up to the room. When we walked in, the room was a smoking room, two double beds with a view of the street. We thought he made a mistake and went back down. When we got there, he and his night supervisor of the Front desk, said "all we guarantee is a room". I almost choked from the demeanor of the front desk supervisor. I told them, my wife is allerigic to smoke. They did not flinch, but were more put out and inconvenienced by my insistance for a non-smoking room. After they said they had nothing, we walked out the door and went to the Riverside. They, without a reservation, put us in a suite on the 15th floor, balcony, riverview and non-smoking without hesitation.

    Great service and value!!

Visited River Palms April 8-10. Rooms are very clean, reasonably well-appointed. Service in the restaurants we visited was excellent. Loved the roulette table - Leonard was a charming and entertaining dealer. Met some nice people, and especially appreciated the lack of children! A very relaxing spot to spend a few days--definitely will return.

    Watch those phones!

We just returned from four days at River Palms and found the rooms to be very clean. The staff is friendly but the policies are inconsistant, eg. discount at the buffet. Beware of using phones. I tried to use a prepaid phone card from the room, the call did not go through but was charged $13.95 for four unsuccessful calls and one local call. I consider that THEFT of the highest degree.

    Best place in laughlin

We have stayed at a few other places in Laughlin but the River Palms is the best. They treat you real good and the comps are great. I have yet to hit a big jackpot there but the people are very friendly and helpful.

    Fantistic place to stay

Stayed at the River Palms about four times, love it . Will try to stay there next time we are in Laughlin.

Why We Stay At The River Palms...

Tiring of Las Vegas, my wife and I started going to Laughlin for our vacations about seven years ago (we still journeyed to Las Vegas for the annual relatives' Thanksgiving ordeal at the Excalibur). We stayed at the Flamingo the first few years, but it seemed to grow more and more crowded, with the same old restaurants; we stopped going when they finally added a new food place: Dairy Queen! We went further south and visited the River Palms because of an advertisement in a gaming magazine claiming some machines (in a specified area) the payback exceeded 100%. Playing video poker, we both did very well, and noticed that the casino was less crowded and featured a lot fewer kids than the Flamingo. During our first booking, we also discovered that the slot club there was very generous with comps for meals, on a daily basis. We've been at the River Palms ever since--even though the Deuces Wild machines were moved OUT of the special compound. To us the Flamingo was more like a Vegas wannabe and we find the River Palms to be much more relaxing.

This little tiny town in the mountain is known as an old gold mining town with burrows running all over the streets during the day. The burrows go back in the mountains at nite.. Fun little day trip. We walked the Laughlin "river walk" along casino row and then took a 90 minute narrated boat ride on the ...

Funny to think we are sitting in a park of 740 sites only a matter of feet from Casino Drive, Laughlin, Nevada and it actually feels very peaceful and last night I realized since being here we have seen more wildlife than the whole trip. How is that possible when we are in a city that's sole purpose is to have people gamble as evidenced by 10 casinos and no CVS ...

... cleared Williams, then Flagstaff and finally began the familiar descent down 89A into Oak Creek Canyon. As we pulled into Uptown Sedona I could see a heavy squall in the distance above Chicken Point, less than a mile from our house. As we turned into the driveway the rain let up.
