Manzana 20, Lote Hotelero No. 1 Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, 77710, 984-873-0505
Finally we made it to the beach to scrub off the dirt from the junglecamp. We had a 14 hour freezing busride by night, its like a butchersdelivery the meet is not supposed to get too hot. (same aircon stuff as asia). Playa del Carmen is a typical holiday place for X+¿* ;-) like a nice "Ballermann". No actually not so bad but coming from a nice place and then hitting all that tourist stuff is hard. Our room for today has a cooking facility and we did the magic of making pasta con promodre with...

We made our way via ferry from the mainland over to Cozumel (about 30 minutes) found a hotel and hit the town for some window shopping and drinks. We happened to arrive on the day they were having an “Ironman” race on the island (their first). This is were they first swim 2 1/2 miles, bike 112 miles and then do a marathon of 26.2 miles! The winner made it in just over 8 ...
Cozmuel, Quintana Roo, Mexico goodrichodysseyWe next moved south to Playa del Carmen (about 1 hour drive), originally a small fishing town, tourism began with the passenger ferry service to Cozumel, an island across the Cozumel Channel and world famous scuba diving destination.
While passing through, many people realized that it was a nice place to relax away from the crowds of Cancun with the same quality beaches and turquoise waters. Based on the hurricanes damage since ...
Today, my husband and I arrived in Cancun international airport after 6 hour flight from Seattle. No hassle going through immigration and custom. However, before going out from the airport, we were greeted by "friendly" people that were selling timeshare. They told us if we were going to use public transportation, they are the only one who can help us with it. I think that's a lie. Since we rent a car ...

Playa Del Carmen, Mexico msdemeaner... We all went out of dinner to a place called 100% natural which served lots of veggie food. I ordered a pita pizza which was tasty and also massive. Everyones meal took ages to arrive and it was quite expensive because tipping is compulsary and it was 15% extra. After the meal I went for a walk around the shops and got a drink in the chocolate cafe with the three teachers (2 Irish, 1 American).

Had to say goodbye to some of my friends who would leave early the next day ;( Sept 3rd....my cenotediving day!!!
