Loved the Resort on Cocoa Beach
My husband and I, along with my brother and sister-in-law from New Jersey, spent a week at The Resort on Cocoa Beach. Our unit was large and beautifully furnished. The pool and spa was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a great week and will definately come back to this wonderful resort which makes you think you are in the carribbean.
Best family place we've ever stayed
You won't be disappointed with this place-After seeing our unit, I had to go back to the front desk to make sure the rate was correct! All the space you'd ever need, plenty of things for young kids (supervised and unsupervised), great pool area, even a free movie theater. VERY well kept; needed a small repair, and it was dealt with immediately. We had a great time, would go back in a minute. CF
Nov. 21 - 28, 2003 my family of 4 plus a friend and her daughter stayed here via our Canadian Time Share. The resort is beautiful and well kept. We found the Staff very helpful and friendly. Check in and out were a breeze - we were worried as we had booked our timeshare with RCI a year prior and our confirmation was 6 months old but, it was needless worry. Our 2 bedroom unit was exactly as in the video. We had an oceanfront room (balcony facing directly at the ocean). Yes, the bar and restaurant were closed, we had received a phone message from the resort a few months prior regarding this which was thoughtful of them.
But, who cares, there's tonnes of places to eat/drink in Cocoa Beach.
I think the resort is family oriented, most activities are for the kids which for us was great. All in all we had a wonderful time and would go back for sure.

Perfect place to stay
Contrary to the user from Orlando, Fla., my husband and I found our experience at The Resort to be nearly perfect. We had no reservation; we stopped in because the drive into the resort is so beautiful. They let us look at their models first; then they combined the features we liked and found us an available room. Then, gave us a reduced rate! We had an oceanview room and you could see the ocean from the balcony, and best, hear it at night. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. They told us upfront that the restaurant was closed for renovations. We're looking forward to coming back often. The only improvement we'd like to see is a poolside bar, for total relaxation!
Loved the resort
A WONDERFUL place, there is nothing bad about about it.
Units are large, beautiful, and well equiped. Pool is wonderful. Staff is helpful and there are several activities without leaving the property. Did not visit the restaurant but did order food pool side which was good and convenient. Lot's of activities nearby, too.
No shampoo, No Bar, No Restaurant
I live in Orlando and make many trips to the coast. I have to say that this experience was very disappointing. The web-site for this "resort" is very misleading. Forgot to bring shampoo with me, thought no big deal. Called the front desk to ask for some and they said I was SOL. I know this is normally a timeshare but for $150 a night I think it would be nice if they kept some complimentary shampoo on hand. Web-site advertises lounge and restaurant, not on this trip, they were both closed for whatever reason. They did offer me a "free" drink coupon at the Hilton next door, which is a long walk when all you want is a cocktail. No cream or sugar for the in-room cofee-maker, half the machines in the game-room broken. Most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, RUDE front-desk staff. Off season in Cocoa means no one around. Asked for a late check-out and they gave me an extra half hour.
Maybe a nice place to stay if you are on "holiday," but if you live in the area and are just staying for the night, go to the Hilton next door, It's less expensive nicer and has more amenities!!
Nice accomodations, however staff could be more pleasing to the guests.
Staff was rude sometimes and seemed unhappy to work there.
This Is The Best Place To Stay In Cocoa Beach
Beautifully decorated and well-maintained, the facilities are awesome.
Spacious suites with a huge living room, full kitchen (including dishwasher), 2 bathrooms (jacuzzi in master), and 2 bedrooms (the master bedroom is huge). Their activities directors present tons of options every day. You can put your kids in a "discovery camp" day care on-site if you want. Big beautiful pool, nice hot-tub, great tennis and basketball courts, poolside bingo and trivia games, live entertainment, scavenger hunts, crafts for the kids, an on-site movie theater showing PG movies for the kids, smoke-free game room, and for a small fee you can use their world-class exercise facilities. My only complaint while staying at The Resort on Cocoa Beach for the past three years was last year there were about 15-20 obnoxiously loud drunken kids in the suite nextdoor to mine, and they got too loud a couple of times. Honestly, the walls are so thick that it is really hard to hear your neighbors except when they come out of the airtight door to their suite. RCB is in a great location, and offers a nice central hub with easy access to lots of tourist attractions. This year the Resort was full during the week we requested, so we ended up staying at the Discovery Beach Resort about one mile north on Cocoa Beach, but although it was nice, it just wasn't as beautiful or fun as RCB. This TripAdvisor website seems to arbitrarily rank the hotels in any city, and it is wrong about Resort on Cocoa Beach. RCB really is #1, just ask anyone who lives in Cocoa Beach or who has ever vacationed there.
Wonderful place to stay! We'll be back!
We just returned from a trip to Florida. 2 adults 4 children ages 9, 11, 13, 14. We stayed 5 days in Orlando and decided to end the trip with 2 days on Cocoa Beach. Next year we will stay the whole week at the Resort on Cocoa Beach. It is BEAUTIFUL!The accommodations are wonderful, very clean, large and spacious. 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms (1 with a jacuzzi), kitchen with dishwasher and everything else you would need. The people at the front desk were wonderful. We were traveling with friends and they went out of their way to make sure that we were next to each other. One word of advise though. We booked our room as "Ocean View". Not being experienced travelers, we were very disappointed to find out that we were not on the ocean, but were facing a parking lot. If we hung ourselves over the deck and looked to the right, we could see just a bit of the ocean. We immediately complained. They explained that Ocean View meant only that you could see the ocean from the balcony but you were not facing the ocean. They told us the rooms on the ocean were referred to as "Ocean Front (upper floors) or Beach Front (lower floors)" They then told us that those rooms were booked. (we would have paid extra for them if they had them available) They were very apologetic and nice about it. They did some shuffling, and changed our rooms to the corner rooms of "Ocean View" Our friends were then put on the floor right below us and we could both see the ocean beautifully to the side of our balcony. We were very happy with that. And were able to actually talk to each other from the balconies. We spent the 2 days lying on the beach, the kids got very good at boogie boarding. We spent our nights by the pool and in the jacuzzi relaxing. After 4 non-stop days in Orlando at the parks, it was wonderful to have those 2 days relaxing and enjoying this great resort.Although this is a time share resort, we are not owners, nor did we have to sit through the time share presentation. We were also never approached at any time by a salesmen regarding the time share. Before we checked out, we were ready to put down a down payment for the first full week in June next year. (In an "Ocean Front" Room) I would recommend this resort to anyone who is visiting Cocoa Beach.
