... of the longer stays.

We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

Next stop Benicassim, 260 miles. More to ...

... small rooms where Dali lived and worked. All a bit pressured and not really worth the time invested. But the pool, the gardens & olive terraces with views out over the sea will linger in the memory...it is the savage beauty & remoteness of this area that must have been the anchor that tied SD to this place all his adult life, despite the jet setting.

We went to the history museum that displayed materials from Roman times onwards, but it as an inadequate account compared with the impressive displays and curating at the Catalonian history museum in Barcelona. The Jewish museum in Girona seemed to be the best one.

... one on this road - Travel time was about 3 hours - Well worth it!! Great village set on a small harbour with numerous inlets and grottoes close by. when we drove in there was a HUGE car park and after circumnavigating the village via one way streets , that's where we ended up!
