limited myself to a visit to the Birmingham Art Museum.

Birmingham’s art museum is noted in some guidebooks as being
one of the biggest and best in the South. Although small in comparison with

expectations with a pretty good collection that includes a little bit of this
and a little bit of that but covers art from ...

The Civil rights museum was distressing and moving and informative. We learned about the segretation that existed in Birmingham up until the mid seventies.

We hang out for a little while and then go to our next apartment appointment. This time the apartment is nice but the manager is really just a slick salesman who will, apparently, say anything to get people to sign up for one of the apartments. Afterwards, we ...

      Oops! Wrong Vulcan!

Tomorrow we arrive in Atlanta (Lord willing!), so today we had a leisurely morning and didn't leave Jackson, MS, until after 11am. We drove to Birmingham, checked into our hotel (very nice - more frequent hotel points from Dan's Lockheed days), then drove up to Vulcan Park. It was very interesting; I'd never heard of the statue Vulcan in Birmingham before, but then, I've never been in Birmingham before (other ...
