Hogwarts Holiday
All checked into the Renaissance Seaworld! It's really a nice hotel. Huge courtyard in the middle of the hotel. The rooms are pretty spacious, and the pool area is very nice too. They are doing construction on the pool area though, it's going to have a great kids water park like area. It didn't stop me from enjoying my cabana pool side. Ran into a …
Sights around Orlando
... off to Big Tree Park. The main attraction was The Senator, a 3,500 year old Bald Cypress, standing at over 100 feet high; unfortunately this burned down at the beginning of the year, but they still have Lady Liberty which is 2000 years old, and stands at 89 feet high. When we arrived it was to find that the park is closed, indefinitely.

Our plan of attack was the same as always – hit the thrill rides first before lines got too ridiculous and then work around the park riding everything else later. And the biggest ...

1. Kevin Federline was at Disney Quest about a year ago, and his presence caused mass chaos.
2. When Whitney Houston was visitng a year or so ago, they had to escort her out through ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Renaissance Orlando Resort at SeaWorld
Great Deal!
Thought this hotel was great. It was inexpensive but the service was wonderful. Everyone very nice and helpful. If you plan on going to both Universal and Disney, it is good because it is right in the middle. You will miss the perqs of staying on the theme park property re: transportation but the price difference and peace and quiet at the renaissance is worth it. Plus they take you to the park for free and pick you up.
Impressed!
My family stayed here over July 4th weekend. I chose this hotel purely by location, across the street from SeaWorld and was pleasantly surprised. This hotel sure beat the Disney "moderate" resorts by a longshot! We stayed on the "Club" level which included continental breakfast daily, evening hors de 'ouvres and desserts at night.
Breakfasts were good: fruit, yogurt, assorted pastries, breads, juices, cereals, milk. I went to check out the evening offerings and found cheese, crackers, fruit, sodas, and cocktails for purchase. We heard about the milk and cookies in the evening, but they were already gone.
The room was SPOTLESS! I am very picky about that, and I think this is one of the cleanest, if not the cleanest room I have ever stayed in.
The room was large and well decorated. Bathroom very comfortable. The staff was always pleassant. I would stay here again anytime.
Great place, terrible service
What can I say - a beautiful hotel spoiled by terrible service. As a Marriott Platinum level guest, I expected at least decent service.
Attending a conference in the hotel, I arrived late in the evening and had to wait for quite a while while the two employees working at the reception struggled to solve some pressing problem. Once they were available, I was given my key card and the wrong directions to my room.
Schlepping my luggage around the floor I found my room, but the key did not work. So I carry all my luggage back downstairs, where I am asked if I really know how hotel key cards work - a Platinum member...After a series of questions they finally decided to offer me another key. So back up to the 7th floor to my room - and that key did not work. So everything goes back downstairs where I'm told they will call maintenance to go fix the lock. I refused to wait and asked for another room. After long debate, they gave me another room, but there was no one to help with luggage. So up I go with all my luggage again to find that the room lock worked. I guess I know how locks work afterall. No guest should have to work this hard to check in. The whole time I was treated as if I were interrupting their work instead of a valued guest.
I will not stay there again.
Fabulous!!! Fabulous
This hotel was the best I have seen in a very long time! The atrium cannot be described enough, just breathtaking. So open and the staff was superb. We actually did walk right across the street to Seaworld!!! Not across a highway but truly, a hop, skip and jump away!
Great Hotel
Have stayed at this hotel four times so far in 2003, the service is excellent, the rooms are large, the resturants are good. The location to Sea World is a real plus if you are visiting that park (you can walk ) The only negatives I have are lack of TV channels, and no coffee maker in the room.
Great Place!
I stayed at the hotel in May, 2003. The hotel is very grand in many respects. The lobby is beautiful and the services offered at the hotel are on par with many four-star hotels I have known. The rooms are spacious - much larger than newer hotels and the hotel staff went out of their way to be helpful. The pool area is larger than most other hotel and resort pools.I was very pleased with the hotel overall, however, the hotel is in need of updating. There is visible wear and tear to the facility. The beds also can't compare to some of the new, improved mattresses that are carried in other chains.
Great Hotel for Sea World, Universal, Disney Guests
We were extremely impressed with the service at the Renaissance Orlando Resort at Sea World. Not only is the location fantastic for Sea World guests (the park is literally across the street) but is right next to the I-4 entrance ramp to get you to Disney or down International Drive to Universal. The hotel features a fantastic soaring atrium. Hotel rooms either have a window view facing outside or windows that open onto the atrium. They also feature balconies. The rooms are huge. Ours was comprised of two beds, two easy chairs, an ottoman and a huge work desk. The bathroom didn't appear to have a ventilation fan so our mirror fogged up, but that was the only quibble with the room. The bathroom did have dual sinks and could easily accomodate multiple people getting ready. Check-in and check-out could not have been easier. All-in-all, our stay at the Renaissance Orlando Resort was outstanding and all-too-brief. We would definitely stay there on a return visit to Orlando.
Club level
definately worth booking a room on club level. Breakfast is continental in club lounge but you can just help yourselves. Also useful with children, they can get themselves cookies and milk before bed!
Stay here - Best Service, Most Elegant
Have stayed here many times and the staff just can't do enough for you. The atmosphere is elegant and you can't help but relax. The rooms are very clean and have many amenities not common elsewhere. Standards are the highest, and the hotel personel just aren't happy until you are. The Sunday brunch is expensive, but the best you'll ever have; a real treat. The service here is just unmatched.
The best hotel in the world
It was the best resort I have every stayed at. The housekeeping was great all of the room attendants were very nice. The room could not get cleaner both when we checked in and when we stayed over both nights the room smelled great and looked great. The bathrooms were very large and clean. The beds were soft and they but three sheets on the bed so you didnt have to think about how clean the blanket was because you never see it. The food was great. The lobby is very large and clean. Never found any part of the hotel dirty. I love this hotel. You cant go wrong with the Renaissance Orlando Resort.
