We had a great time at Ramayana, it was a good decision.

Location: Few of my friends said You should be staying at Seminyak but I think this location is superb. Local markets was right at the front door. Kuta Square is one minute walk, where You have Burger King, MC'Donald. Great first copy watches store. Some other shopping outlets as well.

Little Italy great restaurant, 2 mins walk.

For Vegetarians & Indians - Queens Of India, 10 minutes or 2 mins taxi (7000 IDR )

Seminyak beach- 10 mins by taxi.

          Hotel grounds:

They have kept their gardens well, it was green & clean. Hotel has got 2 pools, one for adults ( 1.6 meter minimum depth ). Spa was nice, little expensive although you can just walk to Smart Spa ( just at Kuta square ). 3 In-house restaurants, one sports bar, Italian ( which was sexy ). Hotel staff was polite.

Rooms: little outdated but kept well. AC was good enough. Bath Tub in bathroom but not separate shower cubicle. Room has garden views. Bed was super comfy. I was disappointed with TV channels choice, only around 30 channels & that too only 1 Indian channel. No HBO, STAR MOVIES or STAR SPORTS :(

Breakfast: Let me be blunt it did not have enough choice for vegetarians only mashed potatoes. Fruits, Breads, Juices, Croissants, Doughnuts were good though.

Buffet restro faces hotel pool & street on one side. Early morning watch the World pass by.

          Some Tips :

1). When you take a taxi from airport, take it for Kuta square ( 70000 IDR ). If You take it for hotel then ( 120000 IDR ) but it is less than 1 minute walking from Kuta squares but those cheaters won't tell you that.

2). Always take Blue Bird Taxi, they are authentic & always go by meter. Most of them were polite but 1 or 2 were little rude.

3). Go to Queens of India for an outstanding Indian meal.

4). Watch a sunset at Seminyak Beach, You will never forget it.

5). Great Sheesha choices at Kabah, hotel own restro.

6). Go to Fashion TV Love Bar at Legian Street.

          7) Do Tanah Lot, Tirta gangaa water place.

8). Water sports at Nusa Dua ( sea walk as well). Great diving at Liberty Ship Wreck.

What we love about the hotel is the superb location. It is pretty much near everything.Eateries, fast food, shops and even the surfing spot is just a few minutes walk. It is a good steal for the price

... the rice paddies, being tended to despite the early hour (or maybe because of). It is probably the stereotypical image most people have of Bali (after the beaches) but we have had to come a long way to see it. The real Bali, the authentic Bali, is a world apart from this tranquil scene. Still, we savour the moment, taking a rest, drinking some water, taking in the scene before heading back down the hill to play dodge the moped.

... heard what was going on and saved us! I couldn't have been happier to see them, it scared me and Anna because we thought that after India we could face anything. The boys made sure to walk us back, cheer us up and promised they would never leave us alone again (They weren't so happy we had said no to them walking us back). So unfortunately a negative ending to a good night. It was a reality check and big shock that will make sure me and Anna stay extra safe from now ...
