One of them went off to the nearest 7 Eleven to buy more bottles of beer which they polished off on the walk back to Walkers Inn where they were all staying and where they planned to watch the England / Wales rugby match later..

Being Open Water (OW) Certified is the recommended minimum requirement to dive here, with many dive operators strongly preferring that one has their Advanced OW Certification. There is always something different to see at the market and this week’s new attraction was a bizarre busker with bongos and guitar, wearing a Rastafarian woolly hat. On a perch at his side was a cockerel, and in a suitcase in front of him, a large tortoise. Their function wasn’t clear but when I passed the ...

Lesson preparation for next week was scheduled for Friday morning. Alejandro and Mei-Lan turned up but I wasn’t too surprised when Jenny failed to make an appearance. She seems to spend most nights drinking at a Thai Bar on the beach and getting to bed at around 7.00am. We ...

Thanks to our Marriott loyalty credit card we had been “comped” for two nights. As I said the lobby was a massive open-air affair facing the biggest pool we had ever seen with a beautiful beach glistening in the near distance.
Checking in was an interesting process. We ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Ramada Resort Khao Lak
Last april I stayed at Ramada resort for 3 weeks. My first impression when I arrived was: a beautiful and quiet resort. Very friendly reception, helpful staff, lovely rooms with special kingsize beds. Everything in the room was well thought-out and nicely designed.
Arriving in a brand new resort, with a appealing modern style we enjoyed every second.
The rooms are big, a nice plasma tv, good assortement in the minibar. The pool is amazing and everything is very spacious and wide spread. Breakfast perfect and excellent service, same as during lunch.
We regret that we only stayed one night, but definitely return again to try the spa and the rest of the facilities. Good work Ramada Team!
Getting back to the Ramada felt like coming home for my wife and I. They remembered our names and even though it had been several months, they remembered what I liked, so my beers were ice cold every time I sat down at the bar and my the therapists at the spa knew that I needed some serious work done on my shoulders.
Stayed at the Ramada for 7 nights from 6 March 2007 in Deluxe Lanai Ocean View room. We were very disappointed to find that many of the facilities and services mentioned in various websites (including Ramada's own) simply did not exist. For example, there is no gym/fitness room, shop, beach facilities/water sports, kids club or coffee shop. While these are in still in the construction phase, there appears no urgency or will to actually provide them. It would appear to us that the intention is to have the hotel completely open for next high season.
We stayed here for 6 nights in a Deluxe Lanai Ocean View room.
Lovelly hotel and staff are very friendly. Spa was great and was cheap due to 50% discount. Not much around hotel but you dont need it. Would recommend hotel.
We stayed 2 nights in the Ramada at Khao Lak in one of their Deluxe Lanai Ocean View rooms. We got a great price on Wotif and we knew it was an 'Opening Special Rate' so guessed it wouldn't be all together.
