Well apologies travel readers your journalist had a couple days off, will make sure his pay gets docked 30 baht. The front page story of the Malay newspaper on the flight from SG to KL showed three Police Officers. They were all ladies wearing hijabs, sporting full Police body armour with large machine guns. A couple of reasons, they were on an …

A little fix it guy came and had a look and pulled it all apart when he found the the pipping that the handle goes down to was completely squashed and dinted which is why the handle wouldn't go down. Seriously what do those baggage handlers do with your luggage when your not with it?
The fix it guy manage to fix it and its almost as good as new till the next time.

... beauty, tres romantique. We were met by the moodiest young thai girl I've ever come across. Half way to our huts she suddenly shouted something out loud and lobbed all our keys out across the grass then turned aggressively on her heels and stormed away muttering to herself as she went. We were all trying to muffle our laughter at the shock of the situation. Luckily another guy turned up to pick up the keys and he was laughing to ...
... end, all four of us had a game of pool (which i was so bad at!). It was so funny to think we had woken up at 5 just to play pool! The other teachers were having a meeting in Thai somewhere, so they said we didn't have to go as we would be bored out of our brains! Later on, we decided to walk around the place and see if we could see anything interesting....there was nothing here. We stopped at the edge of a stream. Alex went for a swim whereas me, laura and fred sat ...
... wasn't a fun experience as we became far to aware of the horrible things like leeches and ticks that lurked around us. We took a quick 3 minute boat trip to the point where the river dried up and the boat could go no further and began conquering the river banks and beyond.
We swooshed through the grass,
Splished and sploshed through the streams,
hopped over the rocks,
Trod the logs like balancing beams,

Historical Traveler Reviews Ramada Resort Khao Lak
Last april I stayed at Ramada resort for 3 weeks. My first impression when I arrived was: a beautiful and quiet resort. Very friendly reception, helpful staff, lovely rooms with special kingsize beds. Everything in the room was well thought-out and nicely designed.
Arriving in a brand new resort, with a appealing modern style we enjoyed every second.
The rooms are big, a nice plasma tv, good assortement in the minibar. The pool is amazing and everything is very spacious and wide spread. Breakfast perfect and excellent service, same as during lunch.
We regret that we only stayed one night, but definitely return again to try the spa and the rest of the facilities. Good work Ramada Team!
Getting back to the Ramada felt like coming home for my wife and I. They remembered our names and even though it had been several months, they remembered what I liked, so my beers were ice cold every time I sat down at the bar and my the therapists at the spa knew that I needed some serious work done on my shoulders.
Stayed at the Ramada for 7 nights from 6 March 2007 in Deluxe Lanai Ocean View room. We were very disappointed to find that many of the facilities and services mentioned in various websites (including Ramada's own) simply did not exist. For example, there is no gym/fitness room, shop, beach facilities/water sports, kids club or coffee shop. While these are in still in the construction phase, there appears no urgency or will to actually provide them. It would appear to us that the intention is to have the hotel completely open for next high season.
We stayed here for 6 nights in a Deluxe Lanai Ocean View room.
Lovelly hotel and staff are very friendly. Spa was great and was cheap due to 50% discount. Not much around hotel but you dont need it. Would recommend hotel.
We stayed 2 nights in the Ramada at Khao Lak in one of their Deluxe Lanai Ocean View rooms. We got a great price on Wotif and we knew it was an 'Opening Special Rate' so guessed it wouldn't be all together.
