... We headed back to Magic Kingdom to scope out a good spot to watch the fireworks. We decided it'd be neat to watch them from the train platform. So did everyone else. We watched the Celebrate the Magic show which is the beautiful projections on Cinderella castle. Then the electric lights parade. Gag! We both hate the song from that parade so much that we were miming different suicide methods to the horrible tune that plays nonstop for thirty minutes. ...
On Wednesday we went to Hollywood Studios after going shopping, the first thing I could see when driving towards the park was the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, I was really excited about going on this ride.
The queues were really long so we got a fastpass ticket for the Tower of Terror, and went onto the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster in the meantime. Luckily ...
So, we survived the flight, and quite contrary to our expectations Tyler was an absolute pleasure to spend nine hours on a plane with. The flight itself was good and actually seemed to go rather quickly. It always amuses me that people feel the need to break into a spontaneous round of applause when the plane reaches it's destination, nobody does that when the 71 bus gets to Kingston. The Hilton Bonnet Creek looks lovely, although that assessment was made through ...
... tell you confidently that Walt Disney World is not set up for walking, but I managed it anyway. It took about 2 hours. The footpaths (or sidewalks as they would call them here) are not very extensive. They just cover each precinct. So I had to be a bit creative when it came to choosing a place to walk. There was a worn track in the grass in places, so it looks like a few others do the same thing from time to time. It also struck ...
Today was the big day for the Screaming Gator Zipline. What a cool place! Before the boys went on their Zipline excursion we watched the gators eat and jump for some chicken, although it was still fairly cold for them so they weren't to active. We bought some hotdogs to feed to the younger gators and they were great to watch, they were pretty feisty compared to the older ones. So the kids loved feeding them. Tracy and Mathew went on a hour and a ...

Nice vacation nice price
We stayed here for three day about two weeks ago. I was very pleased with resort over all. The staff is very nice. We had a blast with John the bartender. They even have a mini Pizza Hut right there. The pizza was great . Rooms are very nice for the price. I will stay here again next year.
Enjoyed the vacation.
It was a nice place but there was somethings that could be changed. They could moved the restaraunt away from the pool area. You don't want to smell or see anyone in the pool while you are trying to eat. And, for as the karocko goes that needs to in a place of it's own. No one wants to hear that while they are trying to sleep. They just need to move all of those things in a place of it's own. Expand the place and it will be a nice place to visit. In my room there was a lamp that had some electrical tape on it and thats dangerous for children to be around.
This place really is a dump
I went through 6 rooms to find one whose smell i could tolerate. The place reeks of mold, mildew, chlorine, or some other smell. (There were two others trying to change rooms the same time I was.) Outside secruity is a joke
The Price Was Right!!
The inside pool area was incredible along with the hottub. There was a Pizza Hut Express on the pool deck and Karaoke singing from 9-11 P.M.. The outside pool was huge but we were not able to use it because the weather was a bit cool. The rooms are typical of any hotel; well maintained and very clean. Staff and housekeeping were courteous.
I have 2 teens and both of them really enjoyed the facilities. My wife & I would definitely return here again.
AmeriHost Great Fun
I've been to the AmeriHost for the last seven years. I'd say there have been some great improvements to their look and staff. Rockin Robin is great entertainment for the whole family. I know that there are certain families and groups that visit on a yearly basis that ask if she is still their because they look forward to the entertainemnt she provides. As far as the locals go I understand that you have a right to the entertainment but really this is a resort and people are on Vacation give them a chance in they're short stay to be the first to sing, you have all year.
Is a good Deal andd Very Close to Disney
My husband and I stayed there about 2 weeks ago and we are staying there this saturday with my parents. It's a good deal and even though it's not brand new most of the hotels in that area aren't.(Unless you want to stay far away from the parks.) They were curtious and polite. But if you do have a room on the inside facing the indoor pool you'll have to listen to Kareoke until about 10pm. But that was pretty funny anyway. And who goes to bed earlier in Orlando anyway. I geuss the people who gave bad comments are used to shelling out big bucks for five star hotels. Anyway it's nice and I had fun.
My Kids and I Love It Here
After seeing the bad reviews given this hotel, I feel compelled to rebut.
I come to Orlando every year and we stayed in many other similar priced Hotels until we found the Amerihost (formerly Diplomat). The people are some of the most helpful I've had the pleasure to meet. The Indoor pool is always the right temperature and unlike the other review, I've never found it to have too much Chlorine. The outdoor pool is gorgeous and the sand beach is a nice touch.
The Karaoke is lots of fun. The bar is cool. There are activities for the kids, my Son Loves the game room.
And it is wicked close to the Disney Parks. What more do you want?
Amerihoax!! This place is a dump.
Where is the place pictured on the pamplet we got?? The Amerihost looked more like a run down Motel Six. The pools were always overcrowded and we ate at the "resort's" restaraunt which I definitely would not recommend. The Buffet was 10.95 a person and advertised prime rib, fried chicken and fresh ham. I could not find prime rib on the buffet, the only beef product even on the buffet was what appeared to be a burnt hamburger soaking in hot dog juice. What a joke!! There was not hardly anything on it, the dessert advertised turned out to be chocolate and vanilla pudding.
The staff at the "resort"was rude and acted like our visit was an inconvenience. We talked to two other families in town that switched motels after their arrival. We should have done the same. We will never go back and will reccomend that none of our friends waste there time or money at this "resort." I also whould like to know what it takes to be classified as a resort, I am just surprised this dump does not have hourly rates.
NEVER AGAIN !!
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The water dripped, when we asked to have it fixed..
1. it was still dripping, although they evidently came to
the room( mind you we have a water shortage). 2. the 2nd time they came we had NO water they turned it off totally. they got it right the 3rd time!!
We ate in the restaurant. We had 3 children and 2 adults. The first night it cost us ( it was all you can eat) $31.89 the waitress added her tip to the total, charged extra for drinks, etc . The 2nd night (all you can eat) our bill
came to $22.40 ( go figure). It seems the waitress' and waiters charge their OWN prices!!
NEVER AGAIN !!!
Not a happy camper
We stay at the Diplomat on 6/16-17/02. After calling a few weeks ahead of time and requesting a room close to the elevators, due to a disability, we had a very long walk to the elevators. The room smelled of mold. The pool had way too much clorine. The karoke prevented any sleeping before 11:00 pm in the inside rooms. Also there is too much space between staircases in my opinion, in case of a fire.
We will not stay here again.
