Nice vacation nice price
We stayed here for three day about two weeks ago. I was very pleased with resort over all. The staff is very nice. We had a blast with John the bartender. They even have a mini Pizza Hut right there. The pizza was great . Rooms are very nice for the price. I will stay here again next year.
Enjoyed the vacation.
It was a nice place but there was somethings that could be changed. They could moved the restaraunt away from the pool area. You don't want to smell or see anyone in the pool while you are trying to eat. And, for as the karocko goes that needs to in a place of it's own. No one wants to hear that while they are trying to sleep. They just need to move all of those things in a place of it's own. Expand the place and it will be a nice place to visit. In my room there was a lamp that had some electrical tape on it and thats dangerous for children to be around.
This place really is a dump
I went through 6 rooms to find one whose smell i could tolerate. The place reeks of mold, mildew, chlorine, or some other smell. (There were two others trying to change rooms the same time I was.) Outside secruity is a joke
The Price Was Right!!
The inside pool area was incredible along with the hottub. There was a Pizza Hut Express on the pool deck and Karaoke singing from 9-11 P.M.. The outside pool was huge but we were not able to use it because the weather was a bit cool. The rooms are typical of any hotel; well maintained and very clean. Staff and housekeeping were courteous.
I have 2 teens and both of them really enjoyed the facilities. My wife & I would definitely return here again.
AmeriHost Great Fun
I've been to the AmeriHost for the last seven years. I'd say there have been some great improvements to their look and staff. Rockin Robin is great entertainment for the whole family. I know that there are certain families and groups that visit on a yearly basis that ask if she is still their because they look forward to the entertainemnt she provides. As far as the locals go I understand that you have a right to the entertainment but really this is a resort and people are on Vacation give them a chance in they're short stay to be the first to sing, you have all year.
Is a good Deal andd Very Close to Disney
My husband and I stayed there about 2 weeks ago and we are staying there this saturday with my parents. It's a good deal and even though it's not brand new most of the hotels in that area aren't.(Unless you want to stay far away from the parks.) They were curtious and polite. But if you do have a room on the inside facing the indoor pool you'll have to listen to Kareoke until about 10pm. But that was pretty funny anyway. And who goes to bed earlier in Orlando anyway. I geuss the people who gave bad comments are used to shelling out big bucks for five star hotels. Anyway it's nice and I had fun.
My Kids and I Love It Here
After seeing the bad reviews given this hotel, I feel compelled to rebut.
I come to Orlando every year and we stayed in many other similar priced Hotels until we found the Amerihost (formerly Diplomat). The people are some of the most helpful I've had the pleasure to meet. The Indoor pool is always the right temperature and unlike the other review, I've never found it to have too much Chlorine. The outdoor pool is gorgeous and the sand beach is a nice touch.
The Karaoke is lots of fun. The bar is cool. There are activities for the kids, my Son Loves the game room.
And it is wicked close to the Disney Parks. What more do you want?
Amerihoax!! This place is a dump.
Where is the place pictured on the pamplet we got?? The Amerihost looked more like a run down Motel Six. The pools were always overcrowded and we ate at the "resort's" restaraunt which I definitely would not recommend. The Buffet was 10.95 a person and advertised prime rib, fried chicken and fresh ham. I could not find prime rib on the buffet, the only beef product even on the buffet was what appeared to be a burnt hamburger soaking in hot dog juice. What a joke!! There was not hardly anything on it, the dessert advertised turned out to be chocolate and vanilla pudding.
The staff at the "resort"was rude and acted like our visit was an inconvenience. We talked to two other families in town that switched motels after their arrival. We should have done the same. We will never go back and will reccomend that none of our friends waste there time or money at this "resort." I also whould like to know what it takes to be classified as a resort, I am just surprised this dump does not have hourly rates.
NEVER AGAIN !!
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The water dripped, when we asked to have it fixed..
1. it was still dripping, although they evidently came to
the room( mind you we have a water shortage). 2. the 2nd time they came we had NO water they turned it off totally. they got it right the 3rd time!!
We ate in the restaurant. We had 3 children and 2 adults. The first night it cost us ( it was all you can eat) $31.89 the waitress added her tip to the total, charged extra for drinks, etc . The 2nd night (all you can eat) our bill
came to $22.40 ( go figure). It seems the waitress' and waiters charge their OWN prices!!
NEVER AGAIN !!!
Not a happy camper
We stay at the Diplomat on 6/16-17/02. After calling a few weeks ahead of time and requesting a room close to the elevators, due to a disability, we had a very long walk to the elevators. The room smelled of mold. The pool had way too much clorine. The karoke prevented any sleeping before 11:00 pm in the inside rooms. Also there is too much space between staircases in my opinion, in case of a fire.
We will not stay here again.

... We made it a point to ride just about every ride during our last two days. The trick to Universal is to utilize the Single Riders Line whenever their appears to be a bit of a line.
Though this was the end of our annual passes, I'm hoping Universal has another really good sale so we can visit again. ...
... to rely completely on Disney Transportation...avoid the buses at all cost.
If you stay at an "Epcot Resort Area" you can get anywhere you want to go and can mostly avoid the buses. From TBW, S&D, The Yachtsman's Club and I think it's Old Key West Resorts you can take a three minute boat ride to both Epcot & Hollywood Studios. Epcot is like the hub...if you can make it to Epcot then you can hop on the monorail and the monorail can take you to ...

Went for an amazing BBQ pulled pork sandwich at the world's largest Hard Rock Cafe, and enjoyed a nice frozen butter beer in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

After a restless night I awoke when it was still dark at about 4am. I peeked through the cabin curtains and I could see the unmistakable orange glow of civilisation in the distance, a sure sign we were close to Fort Lauderdale. I drifted back to an uneasy sleep and awoke a few hours later and Allure had docked. We quickly showered and headed down to breakfast for the last time in the main dining room. The elevators we already ...

The morning was passing by quickly and we had a to see the Country Bear Show before leaving Frontierland for lunch. This was a show put on by animatronic bears. It was funny how even Disney portrays their 'country folk' as buck toothed, slow and simple folk with overbites! We have not seen it yet as we ...
