    ... out of cars trying to figure out which was the best one - the Jeep, the Dodge, the Hyundai, the Toyota .... eventually we settled on the Nissan Xterra because it had roof racks (we don't need roof racks but hey none of the others had them and we wanted the best!)     ... now had gail force winds for the last week in Desert Hot Springs. Its interesting that if you travel 5 miles south right into Palm Springs itself, it can be perfectly calm. Sheltered by the mountains it is obviously the place to stay down here but as rookies to this, how were we to know. I guess the telltale sign should have been the 1000+ wind turbines in the valley directly to the west of Desert Hot Springs. We will ...

    Jenny & her dad danced to Over the Rainbow Hawaiian song. Rich & I then joined them and it was so nice! Everyone else stepped on to the dance floor to join the love!

    Rich & Jen put together play lists of such perfection. It included something for everyone.
