About 1/2 into the day following the signs faithfully I turned onto a dirt road! and there was a second sign just down the way as if to say yes this is the way! ... and decided to go through Canada from the Soo locks to Niagara Falls, so are checking with our car insurance and our cell phone plans so that we are covered in Canada. We brought our passports along to be prepared for this eventuality. To get to Cape Cod, which is due East of us, we either need to go above or below the Great Lakes. We have driven around each one in the past, which helped us decide which route we wanted to take again.
