Around 4pm i decided the storm was almost over and took a walk downtown. Vendors from the annual Craft Sale were loading up their vehicles after being washed out today. Downtown was like most small towns but had some variety and not just Pawn and Liquor shops. Took a few pics nothing exciting but good to get out.

... The route follows the river and is very twist not an A to B Interstate highway and it took me a 1/2 day to get used to the slower pace.
Stopping off in Bemindji I was surprised to find Steam Punk style sculptures. I originally went there to shot the Paul Bunyan and Babe statues. I also got a couple of fabulous shots of a bird using telephoto.

... and decided to go through Canada from the Soo locks to Niagara Falls, so are checking with our car insurance and our cell phone plans so that we are covered in Canada. We brought our passports along to be prepared for this eventuality. To get to Cape Cod, which is due East of us, we either need to go above or below the Great Lakes. We have driven around each one in the past, which helped us decide which route we wanted to take again.
Last night we stayed at the Porcupine Wilderness State Park in Ontonagon, MI. Had a site right on Lake Superior. Arrived just before it stormed. Lots of people camping in tents and there we were sitting in our motor home nice and dry watching a movie and eating popcorn! Too bad for the rain, we were hoping to see the Northern Lights.
