... the trees there that have roots constantly in the wet mud of water (depending on the tide) have figured out how not to rot: the roots project little vertical porous "sticks" that are higher than the water, and allow them to collect fresh air. The leafs also have a salt evacuation device, one can see little salt crystals on them, so that the plant does not get poisoned. Nature has those solutions!

We are now in Coffs Harbour and the camp is right on the beach and very quiet, unlike the last camp where a coach load of teenagers arrived and took over the site, the kitchen was a no go area for ages so you had to plan your meals at a time they were out.
Sun is belting down and the Aussies are basking in the Ashes victory so have to keep quiet but hopefully we can at least win the next two just to shut them ...

... a town anymore it is a large city of around 68,000. We had a bit of a look around but decided to head out of town and had a look around the marina and Mutton Bird Island. The water in the marina is crystal clear and you can easily see the bottom in water at least 2m deep.
