This trek involved a very hard slog up a steep and badly rutted track with lots of false summits which gave you hope it was over, only to see another steep slope when you reached it. ... myself to a neck, shoulders and back shiatsu massage under a tree :-). I then ate a hasty lunch before escaping all the AFl grand final excitement by going for a rather long walk to buy Rod a pie. I ended up walking up into the forest and a lovely lookout over Bellingen before returning, post game, with a meat lovers pizza instead, to a jubilant Rod. The after game concert was a pretty good idea and we were entertained over dinner( soup for me!), for this, our last night in ...

... and brake. With my right leg severely depleted of blood I am worried that I will not raise enough hydraulic pressure in my leg for all the braking needed to get the van safely down to the bottom of the mountain.

I ask Jane if she is prepared to provide a blood transfusion to top me up but she goes all Margaret Thatcher on me, grasping her handbag in both hands saying `No no no no no!'
Now we all know you don't argue with the iron lady, so I ...
