Stayed at Quality Hotel on the Beach over Memorial Day weekend. Great experience. Entire staff was very professional and helpful. We received a room better than the one we reserved because it was the only one that was non-smoking and ocean-front. No excuses, they took care of us without any prompting on our part. Rooms are not ritzy, but clean and comfortable. The staff also did a nice job of keeping the hotel facilities and parking solely for guest use (no easy task on a big holiday weekend in Clearwater Beach). Would definitely stay there again. Pricey, but worth it.
Comments written by the manager?
were all of those comments written by the manager? Or have you never been to the hotel? I went to the hotel and i can say that there were no major faults, appart from that fact that it was tiny and old. The miss leading comments let me to believe that this hotel was beautiful, but when i got there i was amazed. Even the econolodge next door looked better than this. The beach that was 'soo beautiful', was a nice beach, but it was dirty, and the sea was filled constantly with boats. I can say that the rooms were adaquate but could have been a little bigger, and a few more amenities would have made it nicer. In my a opinion, the shephards beach is ALOT! nicer.
This hotel was great. We were a little nervous since the last review written was bad. Yes, it is an older hotel but it was recently redone, clean, friendly, easy to get to. This was a celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have expected anymore.
Very disappointed !
This is not a 3 star resort! Oh I was sooo disappointed! I have researched every single hotel in Clearwater and chose this one from all the wonderful reviews. This hotel is great if you are only paying about $50.00 to$70.00 a night. Our room was 190.00 w/tax !! Well let's see from the moment we entered this hotel it smelled like a barnyard. The lobby & hallways were dirty. The beach had cigarates and some trash as far as you can walk. The rooms were nicer we were on the 5th floor ocean view ( which was a beautiful view) Found blood on my pillowcase? But I can see how that can be overlooked (I guess) I have to say the staff was very friendly! Let us choose from 2 rooms. Please choose Sheraton Sand key the beach is huge, clean & beautiful! or Raddison across the street they were wonderful hotels or if your on a budget we loved Sheppard's beach resort! We had great time the have a live band & food all day & night. Good luck :(
The Quality Inn on the Beach in Clearwter, Fl is a nice hotel. It has a bohemian feel to it and it doesn't feel like a chain. We stayed March 13th to the 16th. The best thing about our stay was the service. They gave us a room change the next morning after a late arrival the night before sent us to a smoking floor. Gary, the Host/manager at Ihop which is attached to the hotel gave us great room service every morning we were there. After returning home we relized we had left our MP3 player in a bag in the room when we check out. After calling and telling them about it, it was sent to us the next week. I highly recommend this hotel for it's location and service! We will be back!
The same hotel?
i read the reviews and thought that the hotel must be lovely, but im afraid it wasnt.
What a view
stayed down in clearwater for the night and had a look at a few of the hotels along gulfview blvd, i had the entertainment card so decided to check out rates for this hotel , the receptionist couldnt have been any more attentave or friendly and gave me several room keys to have a look around at my own pace. we decided on a gulf view room on the top floor one of the best rooms i'm told and they werent wrong as the room was huge with a large balcony and huge side window also amd the view was spectacular i cant rate this hotel high enough and the staff also. i was dissapointed to head back to orlando to stay at the hard rock and that is also a great hotel but the view from the quality inn takes some beating.
I loved this hotel. I was looking for a reasonably quiet, reasonably priced, clean hotel on the beach with a balcony. This hotel had all of that and more. I ordered from the attached IHOP twice. They deliver for a small fee. Both times food was excellent. Staff was friendly. Only drawback was location of phone jacks for laptops (bring a long phone cord). This was one of the best places I've ever visited. I would love to go back again.
Fantastic...can't wait to go back one day....
My husband and I checked in to the Quality Hotel October 20th. Heading back to Michigan after staying a week in Cape Coral. Found a great rate in the roomsaver book....and it provided us with a great location on the beach. In fact, we were signed up for one night and decided to sign up for another. Would of stayed longer but knew we better go now or we'll never leave. Quality has clean rooms, a very polite staff and a great beach to relax and watch for dolphins. they have a Tiki Bar on the beach and are walking distance to the Shepard Tiki Bar, fun place to be!
Can't wait to go back!!! Will definitely check back in to the Quality and will go on the "Sea Screamer", big yellow off shore boat.....
We stayed at the Quality Hotel on the Beach and it was the best money we ever spent! It is a wonderful place for families. Our 20 month old son loved it! Clean and convenient. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation!

We're now further up the coast in St. Pete's Beach, FL. Sunny Florida has gone a bit cool on us with cloudy skies. We walked on the beautiful St. Pete's beach every day, sometimes twice a day, and generally relaxed, reading and watching tv. This is a summer vacation town and there's not much else to do here, especially in the off season.
After a couple days, we drove north to the Florida panhandle, staying for the weekend in ...

Nancy enjoyed a buttermilk cornflake crusted chicken breast with sides, Courtney had a breakfast sampler and I had the platter with pancakes, eggs, sausage and fixens. Yummy! The crowds were low and we spent some time walking the beach and enjoying seeing the ...

... br> My sincere thanks to Don for all the help he gave me in uploading entries and pictures. Icould never have accomplished this without his help.
Since we are home, with faster Internet speed, I'm going to try to include some pictures from earlier in the trip. I'll caption them, so you'll know what you're looking at.
It was a fascinating journey. I highly recommend it to anyone. Who was it that said, "The world is like a book and those that don't travel have just read one page"? NJ
