    Incredible experience

Upon greeting you will be offered vintage champagne after an incredibly smooth arrival process onto the island, where you don't even have to worry about your bags! When arriving at Qualia through the Jurassic park gates, your can sense the already exemplify experience is only going to get better. The organic food, lovely beachside, serene setting, gorgeous rooms, never-ending service, free yoga and activities, the list goes on and on.
The gourmet package was the best idea for a luxury island resort I've ever had the fortune of trying. With the package all food for breakfast and dinner was covered and, best of all, you could dine anywhere on the island. That's not to say you even need to leave the resort, as both their Pebble Beach and Long Pavilion restaurants are superb. The sommelier is outstanding at the long pavilion and I highly recommend the full tasting menu with matching wine.
Your own golf buggy to explore the island was a great touch. Even the most basic rooms are absolutely amazing with your own speaker system to plug into, along with a large TV with all the latest films on offer. The bed is exceptionally comfy and you will find a nice treat on it every night. The free activities include all water sports and fitness classes. We also booked a sensational helicopter and seaplane tour of the Great Barrier Reef. This resort is the nicest resort I've ever been to and I cannot recommend it enough. If I ever have the opportunity to return to this wonderful resort, I will do so without a moments hesitation.

We woke this morning to better weather, sunshine and a few (welcome) clouds. We consulted the experts ( I asked Tracy! ) and decided to take a boat trip out to Whitehaven Beach. It is said to be in the top 10 beaches in the world and was lovely. We spent the afternoon walking and swimming and returned in time for dinner. We leave tomorrow morning …

We had mixed weather today, with a bit of rain, some clouds but when the sun came out it was really hot! We went down to the little town and found a man who re created our NYE photos which was good! We also went on a Sunset Cruise on a beautiful boat that belongs to the resort that was lovely. The Whitsundays are a hidden gem!

We flew the 2 hours up the coast from Sydney to the Whitsunday Islands. We are staying in a resort called Qualia, which is probably the most beautiful resort and sumptuous accommodation we have ever stayed in. Included in the package is our own golf buggy to get around the resort! Should be fun trying to get Tracy driving that! I think we will definitely enjoy a few lazy days here!

Wine Tasting in the Hunter Valley

We were up early this morning to go out to the Hunter Valley and some wine tasting at a couple of the wineries down there. On the way we stopped off at the Australian Reptile Park where we saw some crocs and feed some kangaroos. Great fun. The wine tasting was good and we made some more friends over lunch too! It is really pretty down in the Hunter Valley but bloody hot!

... plenty of time to swim before lunch, I wade in but still too cold for a swim for me. Steak, rissoles and sausages with plenty of salad and tropical fruit for lunch, yum, washed down with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for me and a beer for Bob (you purchase alcohol separately from tour cost). Back on the boat and we go further south on Whitsunday Island to a small inlet that leads to Hill Inlet Lookout. The climb is about 630 metres with a ...
